Strong calls it a career after 15 years - which is absolutely amazing to me given his position - and, according to Seahawks.com, 10,449,733 blocks. Wow. That Strong has been able to be so productive for so many years is truly a credit to him.
This was likely Strong's last season anyways, but the injury cut it short. Still, he's going out at the top of his game with a Super Bowl appearance and his first All-Pro selection in 2005, and his first Pro Bowl selection in 2005 that was repeated in 2006. Strong lead-blocked for three 1,000-yard rushers in Chris Warren, Ricky Watters, and Shaun Alexander.
Best of luck to him as he's able to walk away from the game.
