I thinki this league lasts a long time because the owners aren't expecting it to compete with the NFL. They are provideing a chance for overlooked players WITH college degrees a chance to continue their playing careers. It is also building upon gographical advantages and providing an inexpensive family environment

I also have a positive outlook upon it. Good to see I'm not the only one. While I don't think it will ever be greatly successful, I think its a more legitimate setup than any of the past attempts. Could be cool to see some of your favorite players who were below the NFL talent wise. Could prove interesting.

yeah each team will have a good amount of former college stars on it, it won't be a bunch of no-names

Do you honestly think Mark Cuban would let that happen? Mark Cuban being involved gives it at least a few years.

They have teams in good markets and depending on when the games are this could do well with low ticket cost.

Syvelle Newton needs to get his butt back in the states and sign w/ one of these teams. I would def. watch then.

Eric Crouch, Tanard Davis, and Chris Leak stand out. Though Crouch will probably retire then come back.

EDIT: Didn't realize the conditions of why Eric retired. Damn, brutal.

It would be great if they came out w/ a video game and all the players were 50-60 overalls.

Mark Cuban is not involved with this league. Mark Cuban is involved with another fledgling football league called the UFL I believe

Also, I didnt realize Shane Matthews was a head coach.

I love when leagues like this start. I always find myself asking, "What ever happened to _______?" It's cool to see some of these guys again and it's going to be interesting to see how some of these undrafted rookie FA's do.

There is a lot of former U-M and WMU guys on the Michigan team. It'll be interesting to see some of them play.

Colt Brennan will be a very good NFL QB. Just because he plays in a gimmick offense doesn't mean he isn't a legit QB.

Okay 5 ints vs Idaho and 4 vs SJSU... I guess your right he is going to be very good at the next level.
