so the new ones coming out in about a week and a half, and with how the third one ended i thought id make a thread about how the series will carry on. My theory is the jigsaw in the first three, wasnt the real jigsaw at all, but something of an underling, carrying out the real jigsaws plans the whole time. im pretty sure Amanda isnt dead yet either. whats you guys thoughts?

Decent theory and I could see it happening. I think Amanda is dead though.

I agree with the assesment.

I expect the same crapiness out of Saw 4. IMO they're killing the series by releasing movies every damn year.

I'll keep watching until they go all Friday the 13th on us and make Jigsaw a zombie.

I'll see it, but I don't have great expectations.

Sums it up perfectly. The acting is awful in all the movies but, the 1st was the worst by far...acting wise. Best story, though.

Cary Elwes was terrible in the first one as Dr. Lawrence Gordon.

But as was said before, the storyline was very good.

Did they have a big viral marketing thing or something? Where would you find 1026?

Also, is that guy in any of the other movies? I dont remember.

i loved the first one. really, one of the few, if not the only, movie that i wouldn't be a afraid to tell a potential viewer that the ending will shock them. in most cases, merely telling somebody that there IS a twist ending will ruin the movie because they will spend the whole movie trying to guess the ending (and succeed in some cases). with Saw, i think viewers will be surprised regardless.

i thought the sequal sucked and i didn't even bother with the 3rd one.

I loved the first one, liked the second one, and thought the third one was only ok. I'll probably see the fourth one, but my expectations won't be high.

see i never actually saw the first one.. i liked the scond one... found the third one gory.. ill go see this one like you with not very high expectations. i think its intersting all these new ways they find to kill people in this thing though, some have been very creative.. it will eb intersting to see what they do

I have liked all of them. I didn't go into any of them with my expectations very high. Rather, I just went to see them thinking they would be gory as hell, without much of a plot. I was pleasantly surprised by all three.

I've seen 1 + 2 and thought the plot was well thought out.

However I have to see three and I will see 4.

I just wish they made these plots as uncatchable as "Number 23" and "The Prestige"

The number 23 was awful and I personally thought it was predictable. Seen that outcome a bunch of times.
