Adrian Peterson, one of the Top RB's in the NFL (while sharing carries) vs. one of the Top Run Defenses in the NFL (Dallas) - should be an interesting matchup. Dallas held Ronnie Brown (another top RB this year) to 30-40 yards but AFD tends to break tackles better then Ronnie and Dallas tends to have a problem wrapping people up.

That was when Ronnie Brown was being a wuss and the OL was struggling. Not saying anything about the Cowboys but the Brown from the last 4 weeks is different from the one the first two weeks.

Not a lot to get excited about there. Chicago and Philadelphia could be interesting.

Monday Nighter should be the best game.

I'll say it now in all seriousness.

Miami will beat New England.

Historically the Dolphins are the team to end a teams run at an undefeated season. It's happened twice against the Bears in the past few years. Something about the chance of preserving the only meaningful record left on the Dolphins will motivate this team to pull off the upset

Geo
10-16-2007, 03:00 PM
The Patriots aren't stupid, they know they lost to the Dolphins in Miami 21-0 last year. In fact, it was a loss that cost them Homefield Advantage against the Colts in the AFC Championship Game.

Nevermind how bad the Dolphins defense is now, a far cry from their stout ways in the last number of ways. The Patriots are going to be ready to play this Sunday.

Geo

Pretty big news that won't get much pub from the talking heads:

San Diego Chargers' center Nick Hardwick will miss 3-4 weeks thanks to a sprained foot injury. (http://www.nctimes.com/articles/2007/10/17/sports/professional/chargers/22_25_0810_16_07.txt) Imo you never want to lose your center, he's critical for the line as a whole given the line calls he's responsible for and the rapport he has with the quarterback.

Good thing for the Chargers that they have a bye week now.

AHAH!

I have found the secret to the patriots success...they don't buckle their chin straps

When it comes to the NFL's uniform police, no one is above the law. The Boston Globe reported New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has been fined for not having his chin strap properly buckled.

Reiss reports that Brady's agent, Don Yee, confirmed the fine but would not say how much Brady was fined or which game the violation occurred in.

This isn't the first such fine for the Patriots this season; defensive lineman Ty Warren was fined $7,500 for not having his chin strap buckled in a Sept. 23 game against the Bills. NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said teams were notified before the season and reminded multiple times that the league would be cracking down on unbuckled chin straps as an effort to prevent concussions.

Major game this weekend: Chicago Bears (2-4) at Philadelphia Eagles (2-3).

Loser of this game can all but kiss the playoffs goodbye, so I expect both teams to play like crazy to stay alive. I'm still not sure who I'll pick, truth be told.

VY is likely the 3rd emergency QB which really sucks because I don't see the Titans winning with Collins but I guess it's better in the long run VY isn't risked, even though it IS a divisional game, where losing would = cellar.

On another note, Chris Henry is likely active for the first time, so something to look forward to at least :P

Hey MESHAWN. Chad is a team player..hes a passionate player who loves the game and wants to win wether u see it or not. Say the same thing about Moss but i've never seen Moss so happy in my life on the sideline smiling.

Chads a great guy..great player. His "act"..if u consider an act scoring TDs and making plays for your team. its not his fault the Bengals suck. very wrong of Meshawn to call him out negatively like that

and now hearing Bengals will consider cutting/trading Chad in future depending on rest of season? WHAT!

well..no wonder they suck. we'll take him =) him and BB have a great relationship and i think Chad loves BB as a coach more than Marvin..by a mile.

theres nothing wrong with celebrating. Why do u celebrate your birthday? people know WHO U ARE. You've been through it before. so why celebrate? Should a team celebrate after they've won the SB for a multiple time because PEOPLE KNOW WHO YOU ARE AND YOU'VE DONE IT BEFORE?

Yeah, one thing I definitely don't want to see in this game is a bunch of emotionless robots. This isn't the military. It's a f'n game. Chad is real. He's a rarity in today's game. Then again, my last deuce >> Willis McGahee.

Bills are doing well so far. Good penetration form both Williams and McCargo, and Lynch has been great. Edwards hasn't had to do much but he's been performing well.
