Discuss all things Scrubs here...

Season 7 starts Thursday October 25th at 9:30e/8:30c.

Post your predictions for the upcoming season, as well as thoughts about previous seasons.

I'll start, I just rewatched the season 6 finale, and I have a totally different reaction. At first i was excited because i really want to see Elliot and JD together, but now that i rewatched it, i don't know what to think. I like Kieth, and i really like Kim, so i'm torn.

this is one of my favorite shows, its not just a sitcom.

anyways, i think the season will start with them close and then elliot bailing, because of last time she threw away everything for JD. kinda bummed though its the last season

Seriously I'm getting really sick of this will they won't they thing going on. And are you kidding me!? The woman who plays Laverne is coming back to play Laverne's twin sister, so lame. I really liked Scrubs when all it tried to be was a really goofy and funny show, with just a bit of romantic storylines thrown in now it's starting to get a bit stale, but I'll still be watching just to see what happens in the end.

Yeah that's what's stupid, something about Bill Lawrence making a promise that if they were to have a 7th season, she could come back as Laverne's twin sister.

i honestly think that this will be the instance when both jd and elliot "grow up" and realize that what they have is what they want.

as far as laverne coming back to play her twin sister, thats just lame

also did anyone else know that the janitor was just sapposed to be a figment of jd's imagination in the first season, but he became so poular that they made him a prominent character

Season 5 was the best IMO. 6 was the worst i thought. Not as funny as the last ones except for the one that showed Ted, Jordan and someone else i cant remeber's thoughts, maybe kelso was in that one too, it was pretty good. But i do like how the characters have progressed up until the final scene of 6, too predictable for TV show. very excited about the 7th

i dont know about that, i mean the last 6 episodes were pretty big, and they all showed him sad and depressed, i think he grew up and realized that he needs to be with elliot, he'll still be goofy of course but there was some change. i also loved season 6

Scrubs is the shiznit. Can't wait for the new season.

And the person who did Laverne is coming back because she agreed to have her character die only because she was told it was the last season. I think.

They need to introduce some sort of new character...the episodes with that doctor with OCD and Dr. Cox's friend are some of my favorites because the new people made a lot of new jokes.

One of the best shows on television, and with The Office and My Name Earl, it makes Thursday night unbelievable. As for show it self, season 6 was abit to preachy as well abit childish in humor, it was just lacking something the prior seasons had. I don't know if it was change in the writing team or if Braff had more input, but I just didn't enjoy it as much. But can't complain about "My Cold Shower", "My Long goodbye" and "My Musical", those were incredible episodes. But still for me the peak of Scrubs was Season 3 - Season 4, where they really hit there stride.

Hopefully, with this being the final season, they'll make a proper sendoff for such a great show.

Oh as for JD and Elliott, I really hope they do not get together. It's way to Cliche.

Actually.....

Through the first season, the cast and crew, especially writer/creator Bill Lawrence, were so sure that the series would be canceled by the end of the season, that a plot twist was created for use when they'd have a forced series finale. This plot twist noted the fact that the Janitor, Neil Flynn's character, never directly spoke nor was spoken to by any other character than JD, Zach Braff's character. Therefore, the Janitor would be a complete figment of JD's imagination. This idea was kept up into the second season, still in fear of cancellation, until Flynn asked Lawrence to be able to finally interact with another actor on the series. (Although Elliot actually throws a cup at him in the 6th episode and sarcastically says "SORRY!", in episode 11 he gets punched on the balls by a little girl and in episode 15 the janitor teases the nurse with the vacuum cleaner)

hahaha, i did the same thing... it was definitely a completely different show... the 2nd episode however is a little less serious, and they get progressively looser.

Am I the only one who enjoys the JD/Elliot on again off again relationship? Maybe its because it kind of resembles a relationship I had in the past that still sort continues to linger. Anyway I just started watching this show a few months ago and I am very disappointed that I haven't watched it sooner.

skimming through this one but without getitng into spoilers, the actress that played laverne's character isn't going to be her twin ... it's going to be a new character supposedly ... still lame, although Bill Lawrence did right by the actress ... they killed her thinking that last year might be the final year ... had they known, they supposedly wouldn't have done that

as for this year, i look for elliot and jd to give it a shot, and realize that they are meant to be apart ... and maybe jd to stick with kim and be a dad to his kid ... bill lawrence also already spoiled that a big character was leaving ... and the talk has been that this year will be more like S1, when things were a bit more serious

um... i don't think Braff leaving could possibly ever EVER work... the show is based on his point of view.

If i had to guess which of the main characters would be leaving, i would say it'd be well i'd have to agree with Kelso i guess... unless of course the Elliot and JD thing ends up in them not being together, then i could definitely see Elliot leaving.

1-the Laverne thing, if true, is hella lame.

2-i really don't care if JD and Elliot hook up. they're no Pam and Jim.

3-Season 5 was by far my favorite season...it has all 3 of my top 3 episodes of the series.
My Way Home
My Half Acre
My Lunch

4-IMO, the best thing Scrubs had/has going is the quirkiness. if this turns into a conventional sitcom, then the show just needs to die.

5-The day Scrubs started being shown constantly on Comedy Central was a very happy day for me.

ooo didn't see this thread. Huge scrubs fan. Anyways, I'm really hoping that this season doesn't turn into a big JD/Elliot relationship thing. I never liked them together, and they always came off as really awkward together. JD/Kim are super cute and play off each other so well as they have very similar personalities. And Elliot and Keith do as well as she's the control freak and he's easily pushed around. Not to mention, it's been a few seasons since JD/Elliot relationship thing has even been mentioned, so for it to come up now is just too out of the blue. I also hope they don't try to get too dramatic with the final season and kill off a major character or something, like some idiots predict at other boards. I trust Bill Lawrence!

U didn't miss much, I've seen most Scrubs episodes and the one tonight was one of the worst, un-funny, and BLAH episode ever. I am like yo, I laughed once and that was during Cox's award show thing. There was no Cox rant, the janitor wasn't funny at all. Snoop Dog's attendant, that got a chuckle from me girlfriend's voice drove me up the wall. There was no music thing like in My Lunch with How To Save a Life, there was no, it was very, very mediocre.

This season is gonna end with Elliot and JD prolly getting engaged or something to that effect, if so, blah. If I wrote the show, I would consider a few things. A, maybe have Turk and Carla get into a huge fight where they consider a divorce. Next, have Dr. Kelso retire, so they need to select a new head guy, and ends up being Dr. Perry Cox. Have a Dr. Perry Cox rant every episode. Have the Janitor picking on JD every episode. Hopefully, the season goes better. JD is gonna end up leaving Kim and Keith will never forgive Elliot. Elliot will try, but it won't. I think that is all.

DChess

i liked it, i didnt think it was awful, and "one of the worst episodes". they had to cover so many things, give the audience a lot of answers, they didnt have time for rants or what not, but i think now that elliot broke up with keith and jd is conteplating his relationship, that they will get into the scrubs groove. the one thing about this show for me, is that even if its not funny, it can still be a good show because its not always about the laughs its can get pretty serious at times

drowe
10-26-2007, 08:38 AM
i dunnno...i laughed a few times. Turk always cracks me up and i was laughing when he was trying to decide which candy bar to get.

The JD/Kim thing was a little depressing...but very real.

I saw a House rerun on USA the other day, not sure when this episode originally aired, but it had the exact same issue as the Scrubs season premiere this year. Lyme Disease originally ruled out, but they come back to it and find a bite on the head after shaving the patient's hair. Odd to me.

Yeah, Scrubs did steal a lot from House in season 6. I would say it was a bad time for Scrubs, but they have rebounded. This season has been great since the 1st episode IMO.

Right on Prince, My Half Acre is a great one, season 5, episode 9. Ends with Boston's More Than a Feeling. Season 6, Episode 6, the Musical one, that was hilarious IMO, very creative. That was the worst episode of the season, the worse episode of the whole show. Firstly, it was way out of order, that was prolly supposed to be the second or third episode of the season. It still woulda sucked then though. B, it was just crap. I did not like the whole night time story. Scrubs has one of these episodes each season when they go out of order and/or just have a crap episode. The season as a whole was very good, and I am happy the show is coming back next season.

Gay Ork Wang

This episode was broadcast in Ireland on May 1, 2008, one week ahead of the scheduled premiere in the United States. The error occurred due to the Irish network broadcasting Scrubs based on the production order, under which "My Princess" was episode nine of season seven, rather than the final air order under which "My Dumb Luck" was ninth and "My Princess" was bumped to the 11th slot. This also affects the continuity of the show, due to the fact that Dr. Kelso is still Chief of staff in this episode.

That episode was so horrible.

I was thinking "what a horrible Series Finale" but now I've read that they will be doing the shows on ABC.
