Anyone happen to catch Kings on NBC on Sunday? If so, is it any good? Worth watching or no?

I tried. There were other shows on that I was just more interested in though. You've got to give Kings credit though...It really is a "new" idea for a TV series. Not the same group of friends or family sitting around complaining.
I posted that yesterday. It was so long, and hard to "get into" off the bat. For me anyway

I look forward to the opening couple days of the NCAA tournament more than anything in sports. Only thing that rivals is the start of college football season.
Nothing more entertaining to me than 4 games going on at once all day and getting to see the end of nearly every close game.

I'm watching some show right now called, "Battle of the Bods". They have 5 girls and a bunch of dudes have to rank them from 1-5 on their body parts. First the girls have to check eachother out and put eachother in order and then the guys have to rank them and the chicks get money for every one they get correct. Well, they're objectifying the women/men that have to be ranked upon...but, I find this to be pretty hilarious and this one girl is fantastic looking on this show right now. lol.
First they ranked faces, then their asses, and then something else. Girls choice I guess. (eyes, breasts, legs, etc) haha. It's freaking hilarious.
The girl I was talking about was ranked to have the 2nd best face and best ass. Good job!

It's actually really terrible when you think about it but, it's also pretty awesome at the same time. haha. It's funny though because, all the girls are fighting now and the one girl is always ranked last in everything.
The last thing they were ranked on was total sex appeal and they all came out in bikinis and lingerie. I think MTV or VH1 would be smart to get a show like this....oh, how people would watch.
These are a few pictures of the episode that is currently on.

Yeah, Chuck is a really good show. It definiteley grows on you the more you watch it. Funny stuff, but no it wasn't the season finale because they previewed next Monday's episode.. I guess Chuck gets a new body guard, another babe, and his "pretend gf" gets replaced. Hmmm

Last night's episode of Chuck was excellent.
A lot of speculation going around that Orion is actually Chuck's dad. I could definitely see that. I'm also pretty sure that he's still alive considering they never showed him getting on the helicopter. I also can't wait for Chuck to get some actual spy training in perhaps since it seems that's the direction he's headed.
All in all though, I want more Jeffster.
Mr. Hero

Chuck becoming a real spy would be incredible. I think just Chuck going through training would make a fun episode, especially if they don't stash him at some CIA base while training him.

So with all the NBC Late Night mix ups...Conan, Leno, Fallon, Carson Daly, etc etc. I can't help but think Jimmy Kimmel is truly funnier than all of them. Don't get me wrong I love Conan O'Brien, but Kimmel is just a naturally funny guy without that "trying too hard" attitude.
Anyways, Zach Braff was on Kimmel last night, and he dropped a BOMB. Scrubs is being made into a full length movie. I don't know if anyone else knew that, but I had 0 idea. Could go both ways, terrible or hilarious, but as a Scrubs lover I can't wait.

I'd take Conan and Craig Ferguson over Kimmel. David Letterman is old people humor. Jay Leno forgot to re-new his set after 2000. I thought Carson Daly had been taken off the air.
I truly don't understand how anyone without the assistance of a lobotomy can find Jimmy Kimmel funny.

woah, woah, woah... ouch. My pride is hurt. All around shows I agree Conan and Ferguson are "better". But Kimmel isn't a product of his writers, he is just simply a funny guy. Have you listened to Adam Carolla's Podcast at all? He had Kimmel on and for an hour they just rambled. No script, but laugh out loud funny the entire time. Not to mention the Man Show when they starred together. good comedy, without the lobotomy! jk.

Completely agree on that last sentence. I've been a Baldwin fan since Firefly, and he's awesome in chuck. Especially when it's just him at his place and that picture of Reagan is like his cross.
I'm not to worried about chuck since I've read it wouldn't be cancelled, but rather just dropped by NBC and picked up Sci-Fi. Even that I'm not sure about b/c they shown a lot of love for chuck by funding things like the chuck in 3D episode.

Chuck picks up somewhat low numbers, but look at what it's up against. CBS's entire Monday lineup, DWTS, For the Love of Ray J (KIDDING) etc.. Having a couple week breaks have hurt the show's rating, but it is a solid, solid show. There is no way it doesn't get picked up either by NBC or another station if dropped.
Everything I'm reading says Braff was kidding around on Kimmel (opinions) about making a Scrubs movie. Still, he said it, "yes we are making a Scrubs movie". So until he says otherwise, I am going to hold onto that hope!

just re-watched the finale of BSG and while it's still epic as ****, I really dislike all the angels business and how they wrapped things up with Kara Thrace. i think had they omitted the scene where she just disappears while talking to lee and left it open to her being the daughter of the boxed cylon model, david, it would've been more interesting. As is there's no real explanation for what she was other than some sort of angel, and that's such a lame way to wrap that up.

He's a child in a grown-ups body, but great at his DEA job. I am suprised nothing more ever came from when they found the chemistry missing from Walt's school when he was still teaching. They might have tied that up last season, but I'm not sure.
This show is so eerily addictive. I just hope that can fit in a couple more seasons before Walt's cancer kills him. Setting a definitive end to the show like LOST has done (IMO) would be something that could really draw in viewers and add suspense.

Yes, Breaking Bad continues to be rather awesome. The best scenes are definitely anything with both Jesse & Walt, those two have some awesome chemistry. I don't mind less of the D-Bag DEA brother in law and annoying as hell sister.
Breaking Bad is such a ******* brilliant show. It seems to get better every week. I can't wait for the next ep. The opening title sequence is probably my favorite on TV right now. It helps set up every episode and gives each a bad ass vibe.

I just finished up ep 4 from season 6 of The Shield. The end where Vic tears up the hospital was incredible. It doesn't sound like it but it was an incredibly sad scene. Really touching stuff. It reminded me a lot of the second last ep of season 2 of Rescue Me when
Tommy Gavin's son gets hit by a car and Tommy tries reacts to it
Both scenes were incredibly emotionally powerful. I am glad I decided to re-watch the first few seasons on The Shield and I am really glad I finally got around to watching season 6.

Im on the fence with Dexter. I LOVED the first 2 seasons, but wasn't at all in love with the 3rd. The first two, cop drama was in it, but it was sort of on the backburner to Dexters sociopathness. Season 3 its like they took the cop & girlfriend drama aspects and magnified them, concentrating less and less on Dexter's crazy side.

You really should stick with it. I watched half a season 1 a few years back and gave up on the show because I felt there were better shows I could be watching. I watched all of season 1 during the summer and loved it. Season 2 was also enjoyable but may have been my least favorite season. Season 3 is fantastic in every way and one of my favorite television seasons any show has put out. Four is really awesome and five provided a nice finish to the series. Has anybody else who gets basic cable noticed that the major film channels have been running Godfather, Godfather II & one of the Jurassic Pk. films every weekend for the past coupla months?
I know the writers' strike was over in February a yr ago & it will take a yr to 18 mos. for new productions to make it into the cable programming, but this is ridiculous.
In my city Comcast has a monopoly & they've been subtracting channels from the cable pkgs. for the last 3-4 yrs, really pissed me off when the NFL Network began exclusively broadcasting NFL games b/c I knew it was trouble coming -- Comcast deleted it from their cable pkgs. & put it in a special sports pkg. for $5/month extra, they're just cable pirates!!
Living here in CA we get the 49ers or Raiders games every NFL Sunday, you know what those teams are like? I'm a Cowboys fan & have to go to a sports bar to get their games almost any weekend, except Thanxgiving of course, I may as well not have cable. But I would need a 200-ft. antenna to get reception in these mtns.

Kal Penn had accepted a job at the White House as "a liaison connecting the Obama administration with arts and entertainment groups, as well as with the Asian-American and Pacific Islander communities." Ya its been rumored Chuck is going to get canceled for awhile now. I also heard some rumblings that it might get picked up by Sci-Fi.
I like Chuck, but I REALLY want to see Adam Baldwin reunited with Joss Whedon and join the Dollhouse cast.

Dollhouse has had a large increase in ratings the last 3 weeks. Its doing well in the death slot, something that hasn't had a successful show since the X-Files. That Yahoo list didn't mention the ratings at all, simply saying that they were still iffy on its quality. I think a 2nd season will be the make or break for the show.
On a non-cancellation note about Dollhouse, this is when the show is suppose to get good. A lot of the actors have made mention of this. Fox basically forced Whedon to make the first 5 or so episodes stand alones that followed their cookie cutter philosophy. The last couple of weeks you've seen a lot more Joss in the dialogue and the episodes are starting to follow one another. Tahmoh Penikett said the same thing, that around episode 5-6 is when the show really comes into its own and the real story begins.

Great episode of Dollhouse tonight. Won't give anything away, but it's really starting to get good.

Oh snap, Walt's getting in deep... I'm ADDICTED
Breaking Bad Preview tonight 10/9c:
Walt, who has lied and told Skyler that friends Gretchen and Elliott have been paying for his cancer treatments, has to engage in some more serious prevarication in an attempt at extrication. Walt's sit-down with a befuddled and confused Gretchen provides the episode's searingly dramatic highlight. While all of that is going on, Jesse decides to take matters into his own hands after two drug-addled losers jack Skinny Pete and make off with Jesse's cash and stash. The hour ends with a scene of crushing finality.

I can't wait to watch Breaking Bad. I am tempted to watch it on this older computer tonight but at the same time I would much rather watch it on my 32 inch TV. That would mean waiting until tomorow though and I am so addicted I am not sure I can do that.
Also, the last Dollhouse episode was great. The show is really getting good and the premise is such that I can't see the show getting stale anytime soon. I just hope it lasts.

Here's hoping Dollhouse doesnt go the way of also Friday Fox Network night death spot series Firefly, he has a long history stretching back to Buffy with smokin' hot Eliza Dushku, you know the syndrome: reruns ad infinitum on SciFi, DVDs of the single-yr. series (& the feature film Serenity) only owned/rented by the small but fanatical following, then becomes relegated to its own subculture. Whedon is too highbrow & philosophical in his scathing social commentary for Middle America, too damn bad, they don't know what they're missing. I've always been proud to include myself among that Joss subculture, even submitting Buffyspeak dialect items to slang dictionary websites, I'm just wired weird that way.... once I shared an ofice with 2 equally fanatical Whedonites & we quoted one-liners from Firefly all day... hey, it beat working:cool:

Would be lame if they ended the series like that though. But at the same time, would be weird to see where they would go.
Now that Cameron seems essentially dead/merged with John Henry, if season 3 gets picked up Summer Glau could end up playing Allison, the normal human Cameron was modeled after. I don't think Summer has ever played a normal human before haha

I was more worried if the producers/writers/actors would be willing to do another season. A lot of projects going on with those guys, including the big screen, so even though HBO renewed it heres to hoping everybody involved with EB&D returns to make an epic 2nd season.
Though I read they only plan on making the 2nd season 8 episodes and have a conclusion to the story, ie no 3rd season.

I just started watching How I Met Your Mother, and I cant help but notice the similarities between the characters on that show and the characters on Scrubs. In fact, they are eerily similar. It bothers meTed is very similar to JD, both in his persona (emotional, somewhat effeminate, trouble with women) and the fact that he narrates in a similar style. Marshall plays the Turk role, enjoying a close friendship with the protagonist. Lily is very similar to Elliot, and Barney is a carbon copy of Todd, just with more screen time. The high fives and common sexual references are evidence. It bothers me. I love Scrubs, but the humor in HIMYM is so generic and unappealing to me...Im going to give it another shot, because people rave about it, but I'm halfway through the first season and all I see is a less funny Scrubs knockoff.

Anyways, I just got to watch Chuck's Monday episode. Was I the only one a bit put off by the 2-3 minute Subway advertisement???? It was just akward. That, and Chuck reallly really is playing the pity card. I get why, but just something I noticed.

Season 2 is very different than the first and third seasons. Some very interesting stuff happens in season two that pays off in later seasons and while I didn't love season two as much as the others it really was essential to the show. I would say watch it because after season two I found three to be ******* incredible and easily my favorite of the series. Four is pretty damn awesome as well. When I watched the show I actually stopped a quarter way through season one and didn't watch it again for 3 years but I am glad I finally did. So my answer is way to long but the show does go up in quality.
