As some of you might know we recently did the Ultimate Fantasy Mock Draft looking for NFLDC's best mock drafter, it was a long and at times frustrating draft which lasted over 2 months and over 40 rounds covering most major sports. Now that the draft is completed I am looking to find the most qualified Judges for each sport, I have all the major sports covered in NFL, NBA, MLB,Soccer, and NHL, but I am in need of judges for the other sports. Please post here if you feel that you are one of the most knowing posters for one of these sports, or post here who in your opinion here knows the most about these sports. The winner of this will have the Title under his user name(for example All-Pro, Veteran, Mod etc.) changed into something along the lines of, "NFLDC's Best Fantasy Drafter" or something like that, they will also be given an exclusive sig proclaiming themselves as the most versatile NFLDC poster, silver and bronze award avy's will also be given out.

The Following Sports I am looking for Judges in are:
I need 3 judges from each sport:

-Golf
-Tennis
-Track and Field
-Swimming
-All variations of Racing, Nascar, IRL etc.
-Boxing
-Lacrosse
-Bowling

Im posting this here because my posts from yesterday got deleted, so just in case, I don't want this PM I sent Ghettosermon regarding the judging to become wiped out, Im posting it also here in case of a similar occurance. Its also only fair that you guys see how I graded it.

Ok thanks a whole lot, take your time as I don't need it right away. Basically rate each team on a scale of 0-8 with 8 being the best, go by incraments of .25. (for example 6.25, 7.75, 2, etc..)
You are judging for the players abilities right now so don't consider potential or injuries. Write a brief sentence or two analysis on each team and why they got the score you gave them.

Ghettosermon:
Football:
1 OL:Chris Samuels
1 WR:Andre Johnson
1 RB:Tiki Barber
1 TE:Alge Crumpler
1 QB:Philip Rivers
1 DL:Trevor Pryce
1 LB:Shawne Merriman
1 DB:Chris McCalister

Rob S:
QB- Carson Palmer
RB- LT
WR- Chad Johnson
TE- Jeremy Shockey
OL- Walter Jones
DL- Julius Peppers
LB- Jon Vilma
DB- DeAngelo Hall

Brodeur:
Football
QB- Donovan McNabb
RB- Frank Gore
WR- Anquan Boldin
TE- Jason Witten
OL- Orlando Pace
DL- Jason Taylor
LB- Keith Bulluck
DB- Brian Dawkins

Cardsalltheway:
QB- Drew Brees
RB- Brian Westbrook
WR- Roy Williams
TE- Antonio Gates
OL- Willie Anderson
DL- Richard Seymour
LB- Julian Peterson
DB- Ed Reed

Charmcity:
QB Tom Brady
RB Steven Jackson
WR Marvin Harrison
TE Todd Heap
OL Steve Hutchinson
DL Dwight Freeney
LB Adalius Thomas
DB Adrian Wilson

Eaglez.fan:
QB- Peyton Manning
RB- Larry Johnson
WR- Torry Holt
TE- Kellen Winslow
OL- Shawn Andrews
DL- Shaun Rogers
LB- Mike Urlacher
DB- Troy Polamalu

SARF:
QB Marc Bulger
RB Clinton Portis
WR Larry Fitzgerald
OT Jammal Brown
DL Aaron Kampman
LB Lance Briggs
DB Asante Samuel

Windy:
QB- Matt Hasselbeck
RB- Shaun Alexander
WR- Steve Smith
TE- Tony Gonzalez
OL- Jonathan Ogden
DL- Derrick Burgess
LB- Ray Lewis
DB- Champ Bailey

SARF doesn't have a TE posted. I need to see his TE. Im almost done. This is how I did it. I gave each position a grade of 1-8, 8 going to the guy who nabbed the best player in that respective position.

I then added up the total scores. This total score will be ratio'd to the 0-8 scale that you prefer. And the guy with the best score is the winner. I will post the grades for each player, with a brief explanation of each position, and how I graded it, and who I felt shouldve been taken that wasn't.

Ghettosermon:
QB: 1
OL: 4
WR: 3
RB: 6
TE: 2
DL: 4
LB: 8
DB: 5

Rob S:
QB: 6
OL: 5
WR: 6
RB: 8
TE: 5
DL: 6
LB: 4
DB: 5

Brodeur:
QB: 4
OL: 6
WR: 2
RB: 5
TE: 4
DL: 8
LB: 3
DB: 6

Cardsalltheway:
QB: 5
OL: 8
WR: 5
RB: 4
TE: 8
DL: 7
LB: 5
DB: 7

Charmcity:
QB: 8
OL: 3
WR: 4
RB: 3
TE: 3
DL: 1
LB: 7
DB: 3

Eaglez.fan:
QB: 7
OL: 2
WR: 7
RB: 7
TE: 6
DL: 5
LB: 6
DB: 4

SARF:
QB: 2
OL: 7
WR: 1
RB: 2
TE: *
DL: 2
LB: 1
DB: 2

Windy:
QB: 3
OL: 1
WR: 8
RB: 1
TE: 7
DL: 3
LB: 2
DB: 8

I need to know SARF's TE so I can add em up and do the math. This was pretty tough to evaluate. I based my rankings on their quality of play at their position, the positions like Dline, it was hard because how do you grade a DT vs a DE? But I tried basing my rankings on an overall grade system. Just because your guy got a 1 doesn't mean he stinks, he just wasn't as valuable in this grade system compared to the other guys here. I can explain my grading in detail if anyone wants to know.

Names Im surprised weren't chosen : Jamal Williams, Zach Thomas, Terrance Newman, Casey Hampton, DeMarcus Ware, Olin Kreutz, Bob Sanders

Tom Brady over Peyton must be a mistake. If we took a vote Peyton would win everytime. I'm not sure it's fair that just because one person, thinks otherwise.

But everything else to me looks fine

I personally believe that Tom Brady is a better qb than Peyton Manning. Peyton has more to work with. Tom is also a better postseason performer.

It was tough grading it out, but I stuck with what I personally felt, not what the majority feel about certain players. I think according to my grading system, you won the football aspect. You consistently had an upper tier player in each position. Great job finding the appropriate talent.

Also, remember when Ghettosermon found judges, he found 2 judges for football. I believe Toonster was the other judge. But it was decided that there would be no judges for the tournament since it was too difficult to accomplish. I made my grading system and posted it before I got news of the change in approach. So if this actually did go down, it wouldve been my grades for each person, + Toonsters grades for each person.

That wouldve evened out the biases.

There sports

My friends and I had a very long debate over this...I'm pretty sure it lasted for 2 months.
The debate was "what was the difference between a game and a sport."

The only conclussion we came up with was that a game is something you can do [in the context of the game itself] by yourself.
Example - you can shoot hoops by yourself in order to keep it within the context of a "basketball game" you'd need other people and you could run or drive at anytime meaning it's a sport...but competition against no one it ceases to be a sport and turns back into a "game".

Anyways because of that debate In my head anything that could be done by yourself and still keep score has always been a game. Where any game that has to be played with other people for the sake of competition thus becomes a sport. (sorry Golfers, Bowlers and Dart throwers....but like drinking you're playing a game not a sport.)
