I know that some think Phil Loadholt will leave after only 1 year of D-1, but who else has ever done that. Transfer from JUCO and leave as a junior?

Other than his size and quickness, why else are people high on him? What were the reasons for him going JUCO in the first place, academics?

Well Larry Brackins went straight from a JUCO but he's not very good so that doesn't count

I'm sure it's happened before though.

Who was that WR that was the number one JUCO recruit that went into the draft a couple years back? I think he was taken by Tampa...

Brackins. Already been said. From Pearl River Community College.

That was Pearl River (Mississippi) CC's Larry Brackins, a beast of a prospect who I believe has done nothing in the NFL. Pearl River CC is pretty close to Ole Miss, I know about Brackins because I guess everyone wanted him here. A top JUCO prospect (maybe #1 in his class) who was a day 2 pick. That is why JUCO players should always play college ball.

Swann actually played for a semi-pro team in the town over from me in Lynn, MA (team was called the Lynn Titans I think). I was like 2 or 3 at the time so I don't remember much but my friend's dad actually filmed some of his games and kept some newspaper clippings because everyone knew he was going pro. He went to the combine, tore it up, and got selelected in the top 5 I believe.

Just looked him up on wikipedia and he was going to NC State but was ruled ineligible.

Swann was bound for North Carolina State University (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_Carolina_State_University), but was ruled academically ineligible. Rather than enrolling at NC State as a Proposition 48 student, Swann instead opted to play for the Bay State Titans which did not pay its players, but provide jobs for them. He lugged pipe for an electric company and ran errands for a restaurant before becoming a multimillionaire in the NFL.

Larry Brackins plays in the AFL..for the Philadelphia Soul. He's a damn beast in that league..I think a few years of playing AFL ball, and he could definately make the NFL. Certainly has the size and hands you look for..just kinda slopping route running at times..

Steve Smith and CHad Johnson

Yes, they went to JUCO first but Smith went to Utah and Johnson went to Oregon State.

I'm trying to find out what players have declared early after only one year of D-1 or just went straight into the draft from JUCO.
