That's a terrible draft for the Bills.

Jarrett and Free are both seriously overrated. Free should be a late round pick and Jarrett very well could be Mike Williams V2 in my mind. Harris is a good tackler but does not fit our defense well at all.

Good effort on the three rounds. Just one note for the Packers, they had a junior from Arkansas that was fast and only had three picks named Ahmad Carroll. I think he'll have soured them on picking a guy the same size, from the same school in R2 in Chris Houston, but that my opinion.

u do realize that it is ridiculous to criticize someone mock becuase you personally think the guy they have your team picking is overratted right?

If your gonna criticize it it should be because the player doesnt fill a need, or it is a huge reach that doesnt make any sense considering his current draft stock (like if someone projected Merriweather to the Panthers at 14) or if a player doesnt fit into a teams system/isnt the kind of player the team targets/the pick doesnt fit into what a particular team usually does on draft day....you thinking Jarrett is overrated is not grounds to criticize his draft, its not like you know if BUF thinks Jarrett is overrated.

Give us Joe Thomas in the 1st pick and that is an awesome draft

Not really.

Russell is a terrible pick and one of the worst for the Bucs, Thomas would be much better there. QB is not a need.

S and CB are needs, but we don't need two CB's. Give us a DT like Mebane in there somewhere, or a DE.

Verrrry solid Jets draft.

Finsfan79
02-08-2007, 07:23 AM
not a terrible fins draft, honestly though if Okoye is on the board we would trade back as someone running the 4-3 would jump up.

Everett is good value in the 3rd even though I question his fit in the 3-4 system.

I like beekman in the 2nd as Center/Offensive Guard for us.

Really good chargers draft.

I really disagree. We have a bigger need at S in the first and Gattis is a huge gamble in the third. I don't mind Siler in the 2nd, but I really don't like the other two picks.

we wouldnt take 2 DE unless one can play 3-4 DE and Adalius leaves, I dont like Bush because I dont like his running style.

15. Pittsburgh Steelers – Patrick Willis MLB Ole Miss
47. Pittsburgh Steelers – Anthony Spencer OLB Purdue
79. Pittsburgh Steelers – James Marten OT Boston College

Great first two rounds. But if Tony Hunt is there in the third that would be a much better value and need. Parker is a pro bowler but we have no depth behind him and we need a power/third down back and Hunt would give us depth and an immediate power/third down back.

Really? Im a huge lions fan and i was ecsatic with those three picks.

Gaines Adams gives us a great DE who can get to the Qb which in turn helps our young secondary.

Buster Davis gives us someone NOT named paris Lenon Sarting at MLB and someone who's NOt always hurt (Lehman) and he and Sims played togeher at FSU so they know one another's style.

Josh Wilson - probably could have given us a guy like tim duckworth but he's a solid young corner who can play nickel next year because keith smith blows and Fernando bryant is good as gone.

Not bad. The Bengals need a nice young safety and Merriweather is high on my list (despite the brawl)...

Also- the Bengals do not have a 3rd round pick. 8)

Broncos Picks:

21. Denver Broncos – Victor Abiamiri DE Notre Dame

I'd be interested to hear your thinking on this pick. DL is the number 1 priority, but there are a number of other prospects still up for grabs that rate more highly (eg Moss, Johnson).

53. Denver Broncos – Tanard Jackson CB Syracuse

Not likely, though the KR ability is a nice bonus. I actually like this guy as a player, but Denver has much bigger needs to address in round 2. How about a RB here?

70. Denver Broncos – Ryan McBean DT Oklahoma State

DT is certainly an area of need. Lots of other options here as well (Mebane, K. Brown)

85. Denver Broncos – Turk McBride DT Tennessee

Probably overkill on the DL. Pittman would make sense here, if a RB wasn't taken in round 2. OT and WR are other possibilities.

Moss is more of a 3-4 OLB and Abiramiri was The best player on his DLine and he still had numerous sacks, while Charles Johnson had the highest ranked DE going into the season on the other side taking up all of the double teams. I guess they are interchangable but i thought Abiamiri was the better fit.

good pick in 1st, in 2nd giants wouldn't pick irons, he's not what we need, we might take weddle or rouse because we need another playmaker in the secondary, in 3rd it is an ok pick, we might go DB, Wade, if we don't do that in 2nd, or take pittman, he's a faster more shifty back than irons.

4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – JaMarcus Russell QB LSU

:( Bad pick with Thomas on Board.

35. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Marcus McCauley CB Fresno State

:) Not the biggest imediate need but he is a good value pick here

64. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – John Wendling S Wyoming

:| He's alright here, I'd rather go with the 2 mentioned below but it isn't bad either.

68. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – David Irons CB Auburn

 With the pick of Mccualey it isn't a real need here. Alexander or Kali would be a better pick.

Really good chargers draft.

I really disagree. We have a bigger need at S in the first and Gattis is a huge gamble in the third. I don't mind Siler in the 2nd, but I really don't like the other two picks.

Ok, looking back at the board, Griffin would probably be a better pick than Rice, I just kind of assumed he had already been picked because a lot of mocks have him gone by the time we pick. However, I still think it's a good draft. Rice has the potential to be great, he's just raw. Siler would be fantastic to put as an ILB in the 3-4. And finally Gattis would be a solid player to come in and play safety. He would be a bit of a risk but I think he would do fine. We also could look at a safety in free agency.

Hah, I was just thinking that you could tell right away a Lions fan made this mock. I know you're thinking that Adams and Davis are both overvalued at those picks, but if the Lions staff were convinced that these guys were the ones they wanted, I would love this draft. They were mostly right on Sims and Bullocks last year.

Saints go Aaron Ross if he's there in round 1.

Then we go MLB in round 2, Siler is still on the board.

Then round 3 we go DT.

All bad picks for the Eagles, and there were a few other ones that were not so good as well. I put D, but it would be a D+. If Griffin is available, we'll get him withour first. Then we would go Leonard or DE. Don't like Pittman, we would go with Anthony Waters in the third.

The Rams picks get an A-.

1. Lawrence Timmons - Decent pick. Personally, I prefer P-Willie, which is the only reason why this draft is getting an A- instead of A+.

2. LaMarr Woodley - Good value. We already have a DE who can play the run in Adeyanju, so Woodley would be great to rotate in with him on passing downs.

3. Kareem Brown - Great pick. Good value at the biggest position of need. Hopefully he'll turn out better than the last Miami d-lineman the Rams drafted (D. Lewis).

15. Pittsburgh Steelers – Patrick Willis MLB Ole Miss

Value wise good pick. Personally I don't see MLB as a huge need but can see the point some Steelers fans have in drafting Willis.

47. Pittsburgh Steelers – Anthony Spencer OLB Purdue

Good value, need, and I even personally like the player.

79. Pittsburgh Steelers – James Marten OT Boston College

Nice pick and need.

All-in-all a good Steelers mock and would have to give it an A.

Revis is a good fit for the Bengals over Hall.

Merriweather I like as a player but given the gun incident I don't see us taking him. While it wasn't his fault where there's smoke there's fire.

Weddle or Rouse in that spot.
