JAX/NO. This was the game that had me worried before the season even started and after starting 0-4 (even though we've won 3 in a row albeit against bad teams), I'm still worried about it. The Jags have the right type of DTs to generate pressure on Brees up the middle and throw off his timing. Jags also have plenty of speed to contain Bush for the most part. And, our run defense gets it's first true test since Week One... right now, we're ranked 3rd in run defense (which is a bit misleading but still impressive regardless) but I expect MJD/Taylor to be forced down our throats to keep Gray from passing.

Should be a good game regardless, though. Also, I expect a "dual" of sorts between Bush/MJD.. just a feeling. If we're able to win this game, I like our chances for at least making the Wild Card. If not, no cigar.

An interesting game, if it weren't for the Colts/Pats, would be Chargers vs. Vikes...you get to see the "greatest RB right now", vs. "the greatest RB of the future"....well at least, 12 carries out of him and 15 out of Chester Taylor :)

Too bad there are no good games this week....

Actually I pretty pissed. Since the Giants are off this week I told my buddy I'd go to the Jets game with him. He has a ton of season tickets and had an extra, it's free so I said I would go. Now I realized I'm gonna miss a big chunk of the Pats game.

The Indianapolis Colts have not allowed a 100-yard receiver in 26 games dating to Dec. 11, 2005 (Jimmy Smith, Jacksonville). That's the longest such shutout streak in the NFL. Counting the playoffs, the Colts have not allowed a 100-yard receiver in 31 consecutive games. (Thanks to Rick Gosselin.)

Geo, I just noticed this quote. I know it has since changed, but its easy not to give up a 100-yard receiver when you are giving up 200+ on the ground.

Anxious to see how Green Bay comes out and plays against the suprising AFC West leading Kansas City Chiefs. Larry Johnson has shown a bit of the past him and the Packers struggled to wrap up on Monday. As far as the Packers offense goes they need to show a solid running game with Ryan Grant between the tackles to try and exploit the weakness of KC's defensive tackles.

I'm worried about this game because of Drew Brees. Our secondary has looked susceptible of late. We picked Jeff Garcia off three times and forced him to a completion percentage under 50, but he overthrew some receivers that were wide open deep downfield. Also, Peyton Manning diced us up. He didn't have killer stats, but he still had high numbers. Schaub was something of the same.

A Bush/MJD showdown would be cool...probably would hate the ESPN reaction, though, because if Bush steps up, they'd be all OMGZ!!1!!, but if MJD does, they wouldn't talk much further of it.

Another big division game for the Steelers this week. First home Primetime game. It'll be interesting to see how Tomlin handles that and how this team responds to getting dominated by the Ravens twice last season.

Ravens will be healthy this week and the Steelers will have to be on their A game much like they were this weak to get a win. The O-line is going to have to step it up against what it still a great Ravens defense.

Wow, I just came in to post that, lol...

It's a good pickup, and it's weird, actually. Maybe we wanted him because injuries at the position are worse than being let on: Marcus Stroud had microfracture in the offseason, although he's having a good season anyways, and Henderson has had a neck/shoulder injury since the preseason. Also, key back-up Tony McDaniel has an injury that might send him to IR (I can't recall what it was or even when he got it...). Maybe we didn't want the Colts to get him as I read one person theorize. Even then, we have a very good backup in Rob Meier, so this is an overall great depth move.

And with Jackson's weight "issues" it is best for him to be a rotational fill-in anyway.

If the 49ers lose to the Falcons, they are the worst team in the NFL, period. At least Miami and St. Louis have injuries as excuses- SF has had Alex Smith, Manny Lawson, and Vernon Davis out for extended time, but the only guy making an impact was Lawson anyways.

U know what the Rams should do. Have lunch at that $65 million piece of ****'s house and watch the Pats-Colts game to see how football is played. Bring chemistry up, and maybe the offensive line can learn how to block by watching the Pats o-line. Linehan can learn how to coach by watching Belicheck and Dungy, two best coaches in the game like BB or not. 65 million POS can learn how to play QB like Manning and Brady. Our WRs can watch h them and learn how to catch. Lastly, our D can learn how to play D. That would be a good bye week, cuz quite franklily, what can the Rams learn from watching their own tapes? That they suck.

According to John Clayton, Marvin Harrison has been told that the pain in his knee may never heal, but was cleared to play against the Pats.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3092097

The Colts have issued a statement that they have received no such medical report.

http://cache.colts.com/sub.cfm?page=article7&news_id=2b7f7ebe-1c32-4d74-81e1-a20b415a69b5

Marvin is trying to convince Dungy that he can play, but it looks like it's a game-time decision.

Len Pasquarelli is a douche for his pick to win the Pats vs. Colts game.

Pasquarelli Prediction
Patriots 41, Colts 41

There hasn't been a tie game in the NFL since Nov. 10, 2002, when Pittsburgh and Atlanta played to a 34-34 stalemate. So the league is certainly overdue for one. Both offenses will go up and down the field for four quarters before the defenses figure things out in the extra stanza. And then the Colts and Patriots can do this all over again in the AFC Championship Game, with even more hype, if possible, than this time.

Great job Len, great job.

The Vikings game was close throughout, and as I recall so was the Giants game till the 4th quarter, and they still outgained the Packers yards-wise.

I'm not of the opinion that the Giants are better than the Packers, but untill the Packers have a dominating performance where they outgained, win the turnover battle, and have it settled before the 4th quarter, they're going to be lumped into the questionable category with everyone except the Pats and Colts.
