Possibly the worst 49ers mock I have seen. I don't have a problem with Doucet but with Cherilus there I doubt we pass on him.

In the second, safety is nowhere near the biggest need. I would go Dre Moore right there.

In the third I would go with Tommy Blake. Nolan does not have 2-3 years to develop wide receivers. Doucet I can live with, but we aren't taking 2 wideouts in the first 3 rounds.

Bad Dolphins mock Bow. I know you love Campbell but we can't pass on Dorsey in that spot. And there's no way we can go thru day 1 without getting a run stuffer for our defense.

If Dorsey is on the board, we have to take him. He is a run stuffer and the best defensive player in the draft and DL is our biggest need. We can't pass on him.

In round 2. We get no pass rush from anyone anymore. Having Vernon Gholston fall all the way into our laps and pass on him for J Leman is insane. Gholston brings playmaking ability and pass rush skills to our LBs and can play opposite Porter and we can move Crowder inside to replace Zach if he leaves. Too much value in Gholston there to pass on him in favor of Leman.

Then with the pick we got from the Chargers. Again, I know you are a fan of Ohio State WRs but gotta set personal feelings aside here. DeJuan Tribble is considered by alot of people to be a top 20 player. He slips all the way to low round 2 and we pass on him for another WR? We need to sign a vet WR to play with Hagan and Ginn, not draft another young raw WR. DeJuan Tribble has to be the pick there. He has great coverage skills and we haven't had a good cover CB since Surtain and Madison left. He has to be the pick.

With our 1st three picks we have addressed a sub par defense and given it a huge lift. Now in the 3rd we can look offense and go after Martin Rucker to take over for Martin and Peelle who are both backups at best in this league. Rucker can adda new dimension to the offense and hopefully allow it to take the next step in the growth we have seen signs of this season.

The Dolphins draft should look like this:

1- Glenn Dorsey, DT, LSU
2a- Vernon Gholston, LB, Ohio State
2b- DeJuan Tribble, CB, Boston College
3- Martin Rucker, TE, Missouri

PACKmanN
11-02-2007, 04:47 PM
worst Packers mock. We will not take A TE in the first and take Hart in the second.

If the Mock goes like that then give us

1. Gosder Cherilus Offensive Tackle Boston College
2. Martellus Bennett Tight End Texas A&M
3. Tracy Porter Cornerback Indiana

I personally prefer Talib over Thomas but that may just be the KU homer in me

I've already stated my case about our first round pick, but I love Talib and think he will be great and getting Rice in the third would be nice as well.

christ, if the giants got this people would be dancing in the streets. Besides Dan Connor, who would probably be more like a MLB, everything looks pretty good. We get a playmaking corner to replace an old Sam Madison, and a fan favorite and pretty good runningback

67 Falcons Harry Douglas Wide Reciever Louisville
-HORRIBLE PICK! WE HAVE ZERO NEED FOR A WR!!! We have Roddy playing at a pro bowl level, Jenkins is a solid #2, Robinson is a very good slot man and Horn is too good to eb a #4 though he is our #4...

I don't like the Eagles picks...Clady is an ok pick, the other 2...ugh...

Brandon Flowers would be a GREAT pick in round 2..and Lavelle Hawkins would be another one in round 3, considering he can return kicks.

Also, if Rice enters, theirs not a prayer he falls to round 3. He's not just some average 5'9" 205 lb RB.

Matt Ryan, Antoine Cason, Lavelle Hawkins.

I like the 1st two picks. Ryan is the future QB and Cason is developed at CB, but I really don't know enough about Hawkins to say whether it is a good pick.

great vikings mock...fills alot of needs although an OT in the second someone like a chris williams from vandy would do wonders for the right side
hopefully it turns out this way

Jonathan Goff is a 4-3 mike, not a 3-4 ILB. hes best in a cover(tampa) 2. i know hes 6'4" 235lbs but that doesnt mean hes a good 3-4 backer. Trade him and Gooden(Colts) and id say its better

Pretty solid Seahawks draft though Center is not a need in the third unless he could maybe play OG.

Ok I changed a couple picks based on the commentary I was given.

Nice move to get Moore for the Dolphins in the top of the 2nd but there are still so many other better moves the Dolphins could make. Dorsey still has to be the top pick, Then we could still grab Moore in the early 2nd (that's how horrible our run defense is). Althought Gholston still fits a huge need and is a much better prospect then Moore. I have no idea how we can pass on Tribble in favor of J Leman. I know you have us taking Trae Williams later but Tribble is one of the best cover CBs in the draft while Trae Williams is a 2nd tier CB prospect and not even the best prospect on his own team at that position. Then in the 3rd we could go with Chris Williams, Martin Rucker, Shawn Crable, Tom Zbikowski, or Barry Richardson.

I have to stand with my orginal post despite your changes.

Dorsey
Gholston
Tribble
Williams/Rucker

Those are the picks we need to make at those spots. The guys you have us taking are either huge reaches, bad fits for our system or bad value as we have better prospects on the board.

ok pick

You have much to learn my friend...

Unless Kris Jenkins is traded, your secondary is pretty terrible this year, especially your safeties, so Kenny would be the perfect pick for you guys.

Jeff King is your starting TE.... and you have ZERO need for a TE?????

Love picks 1+2 for the Steelers, but i would rather have Chris Williams or Otah in the second. Grade B+ for the Steelers.

Tyson Jackson will not be in the draft. He is having a down year and pull a Dorsey and come back for his senior year. Ali Highsmith is also alot better than a 3rd rounder, he is a late first round, early 2nd guy.

For the Saints picks: Give up Rivers in the first, Talib or Cason in the 2nd and Hester in the 3rd. I know you'll say we don't need a HB but we have needed a HB every year when Deuce goes down.

i have much to learn? i have watched every game of the panthers this season and have seen a pathetic defensive line that cannot get any pressure at all, and one that has gained only 4 sacks through 7 games. and you tell me the secondary has been terrible?!? maybe you haven't noticed but it's pretty hard for a secondary to look good when a quarterback has all the time in the world to pick it apart. glenn dorsey HAS to be the pick for the panthers if he's available.

and we do not need a TE, jeff king has been great thus far. it is not a need, period.

oh and in the future it would help if you didn't act like a condescending prick to the people giving you advice on how to improve your mock. i certainly won't be giving you anymore feedback.

I always have a lot of respect for people trying to do mocks now. I won't even attempt it because of how difficult it is. A few problems with it, however...

1. Rams - Jake Long - If Pace retires, I think this is the pick. Otherwise, the team can't resist Glen Dorsey here. He's too good and too much of need to pass up.

3. Falcons - Brian Brohm - I just don't see Brohm as a number 3 pick right now. As much as Petrino may like Brohm, even he would hesitate giving him that much guaranteed money. How many top 10 QBs played .500 football their senior year?

12. Texans - DeSean Jackson - I like Jackson, but the Texans have other needs that are more pressing here. AJ is going to be their number one for awhile, and the team is high on Jacoby Jones. The O-Line still needs help, I think Sam Baker would go here.

20. Broncos - Steve Slaton - Still unsure Slaton will be a 1st rounder because of his size, and I'm even more unsure that the Broncos would use a 1st rounder on an RB. I don't think the could resist Sedrick Ellis here; their defense could use help.

34. Dolphins - Dre Moore - Can he play nose tackle in the 3-4? I'm not sure. If he can, he may be the pick, but I think Frank Okam looks better in the position.

50. Jaguars - Colt Brennan - If the Jags feel like Garrard can't get it done, I don't think they would pass up on Ryan in the 1st for Brennan in the 2nd.

53. Bears - Brian Robiskie - The Bears need depth on defense, a QB for the future, and possibly a new RB. Receiver is not enough of a need to go for a guy like Robiskie in the 2nd. Muhammed has a few years left in him.

71. Vikings - Marcus Monk - I can't see them using another early pick on the receiver position. The roster is full of receivers, one of them should break out with a better QB. They definitely need DB help.

81. Eagles - Jacob Hester - They drafted Tony Hunt for this role last year.

Definitely a good job though.

does anyone watch the texans? they've got andre johnson and they just drafted jacoby jones. andre davis has been playing out of his mind for us, and kevin walter is a prototypical #2 type possession receiver. we've got enough receivers.
