I was just wondering wat happened to him. I remember he was one of my favourite players in the draft last year and i thought hed go much higher then he did and was happy when the raiders drafted him because he was a perfect fit for their vertical offence. What happened to him? how is he developing/ playing? I see raiders fans calling for desean jackson because he offers a vertical threat. but isnt that wat higgins was supposed to offer?

He's on the Raiders, picked with the final selection of the third round. http://www.raiders.com/Team/PlayerBio.aspx?id=20868

well i knew where and when he got drafted. I wanted to know how he was playing and why people were calling for deasean jackson when there is already a player on their team with a similar skill set.

Higgins showed a few flashes in the preseason, but, in all honesty, the Raiders haven't been displaying much a vertical attack. The deep passing game is once again handcuffed by the pass blocking ability of the offensive line, and unlike Art Shell, Kiffin isn't going keep trying when it obviously won't work.

However, Raiders fans have been calling for Higgins to be the #3 wideout on the team (especially with Mike Williams out of the equation) for a few weeks now. We'll likely see more of Higgins in the 2nd half of the season.

He just hasn't been used much, I guess only the coaches know why.

He's certainly not the answer on punt returns. That much we've established.

We have a QB in Pepper who can't get out from under center and the other QB McNoodle Arm who can't throw the ball accurate past 10 yards. Next week it is time to unleash the future J-Rock, Bush and Higgins.

I would love to see us run Higgins on quick slants. He is quick on cuts so he should be able to get good separation pretty quickly on those passes. Get the ball out of there quickly and let him make plays with the ball in his hands.
