Good list Fly. Just a few people who I think should be higher:

Trevor Scott
Tony Cade
Brandon Sumrall
Kenny Catousse
Gary Banks
Lorne Sam
Jalen Parmele

Also, look into Jesse Nading, DE, Colorado State

Adam Tafralis, San Jose State - UDFA
Kevin O'Connell, San Diego State -UDFA

I think these 2 go drafted. O'Connell 4th-6th round, Tafralis 6th-7th

Brandyn Dombrowski, San Diego State - UDFA

I see him as a 6th-7th rounder at worst

Craig Mester, Miami (OH) - UDFA
Trevor Scott, Buffalo - UDFA

With the 40's and production these 2 have, I find it hard to believe that neither would be picked up in the 7th round by a 3-4 Team.

Mester runs a 4.64 at 6'5 262 Though he only has 2 tackles this year...

Scott on the other hand is a beast. 6'5 252 4.59. He had a 9 sack season last year and is at 8 sacks this season.. Not to mention his 13.5 TFL's last season and 11 this season. Being a former TE, I think someone is going to try to develop him as a ROLB that can also handle covering a TE.

I think you forgot 2 DE's:

Eric Bakhtiari, San Diego ~ 6'3 258 4.83 Could very well get drafted.

Nick Osborn, San Diego State ~ 6'4 248 4.72

Jason Shirley, Fresno State - Day 2

Shirley won't get drafted.

He was kicked off the team. Suspended 2 games for Conduct detrimental to the team. Then he Wrecked his car into an apartment building with a Blood Alcohol level of .012. He's been kicked off the team but allowed to finish his degree on scholarship.

I would throw Travis Brown, WR, New Mexico on that list as well. Also, S OJ Swift, New Mexico.

Both are Day 2 guys.

Brown is a great possesion type guy. Really able to find the soft spots in coverage and has great hands with 4.5 speed.

Swift is like a Bob Sanders clone. About the same size and plays the same way.

Absolutely have to put Josh Johnson, QB from San Diego on that list. He might go 3rd -5th round.

San Diego is not a mid-major

San Diego is not a mid-major

Well they were the mid major national champions the past 2 years, so I think they are.

I dont know about Brandon Allen. NMSU is a passing offense but he drops a lot of catches and isnt as quick as Chris Williams, who would be on this list if he didnt get injured a few weeks back with a broken colar bone. Daunte Floyd should be on the list if he decides to come out. He is a haas that no one has heard of. Little undersized at 5-10 but he definitely has a nose for the ball.

Your definition of Mid-Major is incorrect. Mid-Major refers to Div-1A (FBS) teams that are not in BCS Conferences (i.e. C-USA, Sun Belt, WAC, MAC, MWC teams)

Anthony Aldridge may sneak right in on Day 1 with Dallas' last pick of the 3rd round. ;)

11-18-2007, 07:44 PM
I think Matt Forte will be a day 1 pick.

11-18-2007, 08:24 PM

say what you want but theyre not the mid-majors we are referring to.
