I think its between Huff and Landry. I give the edge to Landry since he plays in an already good defense w/ another pro-bowl S.

its between Myron Rolle and Kenny Phillips but i lean more towards Kenny Phillips because of there are so many good Safeties in the NFL that came from Miami.

Anyone else think foozball needs to tone down creating threads a lot?

Landry is an absolute beast! Chad Jones looks damn good so far even though he is only a true freshman. Only time will tell with all these guys really but I'm leaning towards Jones from what I've seen so far from him.

Myron Rolle? Really? What's he doing in this discussion? How about we wait on him a little more before declaring him an NFL superstar?

I agree with you on that one...

But to answer the thread topic, the best NFL safety will be FS Nic Harris next year.

I don't agree, because it's not like they are pointless threads.

I lean toward Phillips with Landry & Rolle slightly behind. Phillips is possibly the surest tackling safety ever coming out of college and he's great in coverage. Landry is an incredible athlete that covers a lot of ground and blitzes well. Rolle is loaded with potential because of his size and athleticism but he's not quite on the level of the first 3...yet. I don't know much about Jones so I won't comment. Huff is a solid player but isn't intimidating size-wise and doesn't make many big plays. Once again, I'd take Phillips because he's consistent and it's important to have safeties you can trust.

I love Chad Jones, but I think it's too early to project his NFL career. Ditto with Myron Rolle. I'll actually go with LaRon Landry, just ahead of Kenny Phillips.

Laron Landry would be my pick there. He was at the a dominate defence in college and now ended up in a great defence in the NFL. He'll get pointers from Sean Taylor too.

LaRon Landry.

With Sean Taylor playing along side him Landry will become a much better player.

Landry has the best opportunity so I think gives him a serious edge.

Reggie Smith is quite the prospect as well. He's great in coverage and run support. I think his name should be mentioned as well.

Well I'm not really sure, I'm gonna go with Kenny Phillips, although it depends heavily where he ends up.

I always thought he was a Corner opposite Lendy Holmes with Marcus Walker as the 3rd I see Reggie cover recievers 1 on 1 all the time

Yeah I'm pretty sure he plays CB on OU with Darien Williams & Nic Harris at S. What a secondary...
