Huge day 3 INT 2 TD, should be 3 but apparently blocking the QB on a INT is a personal foul...
With Wilson out he stepped into his role as the Joker/Rover what ever you want to call it and he shined.
Just goes to show you what good coaching(Whiz) does to a person as opposed to terrible coaching(Green)

Another U product, I still believe that he belongs back there next to Wilson. He is a physical corner, would be good for cover 2, if he were to stay at cb but now he seems better suited at safety, or a nickle back. The rover thing works for him, like with Troy Polamalu.

He has had 1 good game in his entire career. I still think he is a bust.

he at least for a bust he should have the NFL record for INT for TD in a game

He should have just gone down. What happens if he fumbles the ball right there.

I don't think he is a bust, after the first year he played, I always wanted him to change positions. But becuase of the amazing coach of Green that didn't happen.

Thats exactly what I was saying until he got past the LoS then i knew he was gone.
Btw I'm convinced that Rolle needs to be switched to FS now, NB is an alright fit for him and Holt has been doing pretty good this season so far but for the future I think they should make the switch.

How bout FS in Base Defense and CB in Nickel package. Compromise?
bhaarat316
11-18-2007, 04:13 PM
uh okay, I am all for Rolle at FS, just in Nickle packages, there would be basiclly 3 Safeties. Where Rolle would be free lancing and moving around

Rolle is still an intriguing prospect due to his body stats but he still needs to put together a total productive season. Definitely worth a gamble on the FA market.

We used a lot of 3 safety packages last year with Fransico, Griffith, and then had Wilson roaming

Ok well Antonio Smith got the initial pressure on Palmer to force the INT and when Rolle was running back with the ball Palmer starts to move in Rolle's direction and Smith lays him out
Seems like one of those BS must protect the QB at all costs type of thing

Palmer really didn't move anywhere, Antonio Smith just decided to drill him. =D

Rolle is a good player..if u use hm properly. Start him at Free..please
he read Palmer well on the 2nd pick..he was covering and let go last second and jumped it inside and took ti to the house

What kind of scheme does Zona run on D? Because if it does include alot of man to man, I think Rolle might just be a better fit at FS with Wilson at SS.
fenikz
11-18-2007, 05:58 PM
we run everything, i don't think there is a scheme that hasn't been done by us at least once
btw here are the game highlights

at 4:50 you can see where Smith lays out Palmer still looks clean to me, maybe they could of called him for taunting because he stood over him but other than that Rolle should have the record

They finally moved him to safety? Awesome news. Now they need to draft a corner, and they'll have a damn good secondary.

no he was still playing corner, they just ran a lot of nickle, so he was able to roam like a safety

I really liked him coming out of college, (personally more than Rogers or Pacman). i thought that he would be moved to saftey sooner rather than later because of the way he plays, but i thought he'd be fine at corner too. He hasn't lived up to my expectations thus far, but he's still got time to get there. Nice to see him have a big day, maybe this can boost his confidence and the coaching staff will put him in a position to succeed. I still think he has the talent.

Soooo last week Cromartie was a top 5 CB in the NFL....and now Rolle is a top 5 CB in the NFL I'm assuming.

And next week it will be someone like Jonathan Joseph.

Don't think anyone said that, Cromartie actually has a reason he leads the league in INTs. Just a simple thread to acknowledge one of the best games ever played by a defensive back

I thought INTs were consider over-rated in this forum? now they actually mean something? when has this changed?

When were ints over-rated, they are hard to come by. Sure shutting down a WR is good, getting a turnover is even better

It's a forum everyone gets an opinion, that's kind of the definition of forum.
I'm glad to see he had such a great day, hopefully he continues to play well. I did like him as a prospect and as the #1 CB in the 05 Draft, but moreso because I just don't like to see talented guys on the bench and/or doing nothing. Same deal with Jason Allen, Bobby Carpenter, and so on. It's always a shame to see talent unfulfilled.
Allen had two interceptions today at Philadelphia, I believe I heard (correct?). Fans of the Dolphins board know I've offered support for him for some time.

The Rolle family. I wonder why Antrel and Myron are beastly athletes for DB's and Samari is 160 pounds with all his equipment on.

BTW if Rolle would of stuck the landing on the cartwheel to blackfilp on his 2nd TD it wouldn't have been a penalty apparently, the only reason he got penalized is because he went to the ground

"Cards: NFL admits bad call; Rolle deserved 3 TDs
But Smith was whistled for hitting quarterback Carson Palmer on the return, and that wiped out the touchdown.
Smith said Friday that Cardinal coaches told him the league has admitted the call was a mistake."

Well, for one thing, they aren't related.

Ya Samari is related to Chad Johnson and Keyshawn Johnson
The others have no relations to any athletes that I know of
