You never partcipate but always sit back and point out the people who we've missed. I am also sure that everyone is trying to get people who would work with their sound and due to us only have 8 people in the draft, we obviously can't draft every influential person from the 1990's. So next time, earn the right to complain by participating.

Les Claypool auditioned for Metallica after previous bassist Cliff Burton was killed in a bus accident. Claypool was turned down because in essence, he was too good. They didn't want Claypool to become the "face" of the band.
and
Danny Carey of Tool is to 90's rock, what Neil Peart of Rush was to Classic Rock. I am a drummer, and almost every other drummer I know would tell you the same thing.

Final Band- The Charm City Experience
With my band I tried making a band in the mold of Sublime RHCP or 311 with a Roots feel to it. A hip Hop/Funk/Reggae/Rock band. I think I did a good job putting it together and I feel all my members fit together.
Lead Vocals/rhythm guitar: Bradley Nowell of Sublime.
I chose Bradley because I wanted that funky reggae-ish feel to my band. I love his voice he has so much soul and hes a very underrated guitarist. I think he fits in with the hip hop style im going to use. Sublime was a very Hip Hop oriented band and you could tell they were heavily influenced by the late 80's hip hop (boogie down productions, public enemy etc...)
MC/Singer: Mos Def
I think Mos Def fits perfectly in a band. With him and Bradley I hope to have sort of a 311 style with the vocals. Some songs they both will be on and some only one will be on. Mos might be the most versatile rapper in the game. He plays a host of instruments and can sing too.
Lead Guitar/Back up vocals: John Frusciante Red Hot Chilli Peppers
John is one of the greatest guitarists of all time in any era IMO. Hes such a great musician I own all of his solo albums and all of the chilli pepper albums. Hes a wicked guitar player and in my band (the charm city expeience) He will recieve ample time to bust out wicked solos and just jam.
Bassist: Mike Dirnt Greenday
The original plan was to draft Flea but he was selected so I waited and decided to pick up Mike. I like his up beat style and I think if ic ouldnt get Flea he is the next best thing.
Drummer: Travis Barker The Transplants
I might catch grief for this pick because of his time in Blink 182 (not a huge fan but i can listen to some of their songs) But I chose him for his work in the band The Transplants. The Transplants are a Punk Rock/Hip Hop group that featured Tim Armstron from Rancid, Skinhead Rob, and Travis Barker. Travis is an amazing drummer and has the versatility to play Rock or Hip Hop style.
Producer: Rick Rubin
My secret weapon. I chose Rick because he has worked with a huge variety of artists in all different types of music ( Beastie boys, Johnny Cash, NIN, Jay Z) His experience working with all genres of music so my bands ecelectic mix of artists will benefit from Ricks production. As far as im concerned the man is a musical genius and if anyone could make this band work he could.

yea they would hate each other
there are about 8-10 guys that would be robbery at this point in the draft...
You never partcipate but always sit back and point out the people who we've missed. I am also sure that everyone is trying to get people who would work with their sound and due to us only have 8 people in the draft, we obviously can't draft every influential person from the 1990's. So next time, earn the right to complain by participating.
you got me wrong buddy i wasn't saying these bands wern't great or that anyone was doing a bad job of drafting I am just stating that there are several really good people still left on the board that could really set one band above the others....

Yeah, I know all the members in my band would get along. I was trying to draft based on chemistry.

see the thing is i dont know who half of them are
Les Claypool auditioned for Metallica after previous bassist Cliff Burton was killed in a bus accident. Claypool was turned down because in essence, he was too good. They didn't want Claypool to become the "face" of the band.
and
Danny Carey of Tool is to 90's rock, what Neil Peart of Rush was to Classic Rock. I am a drummer, and almost every other drummer I know would tell you the same thing.
those were the obvious ones along with reznor, its the other people i have never heard of
oh well here is my final pick
Will Farrell - Cow Bell

I guessing you say that because my guys seem like each has a different sound but together I think it would be good.
BTW, I won't post the polls until after the first few rounds of the Off-season mock draft. Most people will be busy with that.

tom's style only works in a certain type of music, like imo it doesn't work with audio slave, but it worked great with RATM
