Announcing My Hiatus

Hey guys, I am posting to inform you all that due to more important things I need to focus on in my life I am taking a hiatus. I may stop by every once in a while, but I probably won't post very much. I've had a fun time and maybe when things clear up on my end I'll return. So don't expect anything in the form of posts or my weekly column. I will still make my pick 'em picks, but other than that don't expect to see me around here too much.

Just to preface this: what I am going through isn't "bad" per say. It's just I need to refocus my life. I have recently turned eighteen and things like football and video games just are taking too much of my time away.

This is the problem with our generation. We are lazy and waste time. It's about balance, something I think a lot of us are struggling with.

I could be watching MTV...atleast NFLDC is a good learning environment...granted it's not going to get you anything in life...however it teaches you some things and actually can actually improve you educated discussions in the real world.

I think everyone on here has thought that they're wasting their time on here, I certainly have. But I just view it as something better to do than maybe TV or video games when you're at home with nothing to do because you're in some small way interacting with other people.

You don't need to be in a hurry to "grow up." Since I don't know you situation I won't say much more about that. But just wait until you start going out to bars and realize that even people much older than you are really no more mature or "grown up."

I live my lfe in one way, I do what makes me happy. If that means "wasting my time" online and on video games, so be it. If I enjoy it, I don't consider it wasting my time. I get one life to live, I want to enjoy it.

Exactly the same, i haven't posted at home in months. So really the solution to your problems is not to leave, but to get a a job where the employers have little to no expectations for you, or your work.
