1. HB Knowshon Moreno - One of the best freshman HB's in SEC history

2. QB Matt Stafford - Hasn't played perfect, but is a lot better then last year

3. OL Fernando Velasco - is the leader of a OL with the 3 freshman

4. LB Dannell Ellerbe - quitly having a good year 77 tackles, 3.5 sacks, 10 TFL

5. FB Brannon Southerland - excellent blocker also has 5 TD's

6. DE Marcus Howard - 1st year starter who has 7 sacks

7. HB Thomas Brown - Even with the injury has 600 yards and 8 TD

8. CB Asher Allen - The best of the trio of sophmore CB's also returns kicks

9. WR Sean Bailey - Finally a WR that can catch

10. OT Trinton Sturdivant - true freshman that held is own at LT looks like a star in the making

1. Eric Berry - 4 picks, 259 yards on returns (INT, Fumble). Great tackler

2. Eric Young - Was holding down the LT spot with consistency before his injury

3. Jerod Mayo - Moved to MLB, struggled at first, but has come on the past few weeks

4. Arian Foster - Has fumble problems, but his main problem is he doesn't get enough carries. Look at the numbers

5. Erik Ainge - Nothing special if you ask me, but a solid senior QB.

6. Rico McCoy - 2nd on the team in tackles, needs play more consistent. Fast.

7. Lucas Taylor - Our best WR, which isn't saying much. He has good numbers, but puts them up by default in my opinion.

8. Josh McNeill - Good solid C that can move. If he gets stronger, he'll be an All-SEC candidate.

9. Demonte Bolden - Running out of players at this point. He flashes alot, but is the ultimate tease. Don't even really like him on here

10. Daniel Lincoln - Sadly this is our kicker.

In no particular order for WVU...

QB Patrick White: An electric runner, has made strides as a downfield passer as well. Has become the offensive leader of this team.

RB Steve Slaton: Doesn't have the O-line in front of him that he had a year or two ago but can still find creases to create big plays.

FB Owen Schmitt: A punishing lead blocker who looks for contact but is also an accomplished runner and receiver out of the backfield.

WR Darius Reynaud: Incredible agility and elusiveness. Is a threat to score any time he gets the ball in space.

DE Johnny Dingle: Has emerged as a force on this defensive line both in terms of getting to the quarterback and in defending the run.

NT Keilen Dykes: Big guy in the middle of the Mountaineers' three man front, capable of clogging up the inside as well as putting pressure on the passer

SS Erik Wicks: Versatile senior safety has emerged as a playmaker in the defensive backfield, always seems to be around the ball.

FS Ryan Mundy: Transfer from Michigan who has really been the missing piece in this WVU secondary; good for a huge ball-jarring hit every game.

WLB Mortty Ivy: Takes over Boo McLee's WILL LB spot in this defense after missing much of last year. Very athletic, makes plays all over the field.

K/P Pat McAfee: Laugh if you want, but McAfee has been kicking the ball extremely well this season. Not many people who can boot a 71-yard rugby punt from their own endzone.

Honorable Mention: QB Jarrett Brown, RB Noel Devine, OL Jake Figner, LB Marc Magro, LT Ryan Stanchek, LB Reed Williams

Ole Miss

1. DE Greg Hardy (Soph) - Hardy leads the SEC in sacks despite missing 2 games this season. He also has 2 TD catches as a WR. Hardy has top 10 talent as a DE, he is 6-5 255 with athleticism that is out of this world.
2. LT Michael Oher (Jr) - Oher is a great tackle, he can pass block and run block very well to go along with great athleticism. He has first round potential.
3. SS JaMarca Sanford (Jr) - The leader of the Rebels D. Sanford is fast, tough, and is a playmaker. He leads Ole Miss in tackles this season.
4. DE Marcus Tillman (Soph) - Tillman is another outstanding sophmore DE that is already be acclaimed with 1st round potential. Tillman is 6-5 270 and has been dominant his first two years in Oxford.
5. WR Dexter McCluster (So) - McCluster is only 5-8 165 but for anyone who watched the LSU game and saw the hit he put on 220 pound SS Chad Jones on Brent Schaeffer's 2nd quarter run, you will understand that McCluster plays much bigger than 165. He is the Rebel's playmaker on offense, he is like Steve Smith and Hines Ward put together.
6. DT Peria Jerry (Jr) - Jerry is another solid DL for Ole Miss, he has been a force all year.
7. OLB Ashlee Palmer (Jr) - Palmer came to Ole Miss as a safety amd coach O moved him to OLB and Palmer has been a great all year, he is one of the fastest players on the team and our best LB this year by far.
8. RG John Jerry - Held Glen Dorsey to 1 tackle all game on Saturday, Dorsey did not make an impact at all.
9. FB Jason Cook (Jr) - Cook is one of the top junior fullbacks in the NCAA, he is a great blocker who has the size and athleticism to make it the NFL.
10. RB BenJarvus Green-Ellis (Sr) - I love BJGE but he is a little overrated on this site. He is big, fast, and has great numbers in the last 2 years, but has made some costly mistakes this season (I believe 3 fumbles inside the opponents 5 yard line) and hasn't been a factor in close games.

2. WR Jason Rivers - NFL size, hands, speed, physical and an exceptional blocker.

3. WR Ryan Grice-Mullen - Fastest receiver on the Warriors squad will be a burner in the NFL.

4. WR Davone Bess - Projects as a slot WR in the NFL. Amazing athlete can make ANY catch.

5. LB Adam Leonard - Playmaking LB comes up big every game.

6. K Dan Kelly - Better than a lot of NFL kickers out there.

7. DT Michael Lafaele - Size to play NT in the NFL. Great run stuffer and leader.

8. LB Solomon Elimimian - MLB is a tackling machine.

9. LB Blaze Soares - Football playin' dude is a maniac.

10. RB Leon Wright-Jackson - Gonna be a heck of a RB prospect when he's done here.

1. WR Earl Bennett - Enough said

2a. LT Chris Williams - Great passblocker, great runblocker, might not be firey but knows how to play

2b. MLB Jonathan Goff - great leader, deceptivly fast, sideline to sideline, smart

3. CB DJ Moore - Has 4 INT and is a great KR, Future All-American(Maybe this year)

4. SS Reshard Langford - good in the box saftey, getting a lot better in pass coverage, eric coleman/gibril wilson type.

5-10 who cares

the worst is by far Mackenzi Adams and Chris Nickson(QB's) if we had a passing game at all, we could finish games, but if ur QB over throws or under throws by as much as these guys, ud be 5-6 too

Massaquoi has played well and had bounced back from his sophmore slump. His biggest problem last year was he droped to many passes. He will be counted on a lot next year. Rennie Curran almost made my list, but I had to go with Sturdivant since he plays LT. Curran has only started 3 games and is already 4th on the team in tackles. He is a all american type player and was all over the field this week. Howard has had a great year and held up as a 230 pound DE. He is a good sleeper to keep a eye on as a hybrid.

8. CB Myron Lewis - a good press corner, but struggles in man coverage

9. DE Steven Stone - good run stuffing end, not much pass rush but could be something later on

10. FS Ryan Hamilton - Hes always around the ball ether at the right or wrong time, something to look forward to

The Real list for THE Rutgers University

1: Raymell Rice, RB- any doubt? nah, I thought not; no weakness
2: Courtney Greene, FS- Kids a playa. Hard hitter who has better ball skills than given credit for. Great playmaker who will be an excellent pro safety. Could be FS, or SS as his tackling is superb.
3: Eric Foster- Keep choppin' describes him perfectly. best motor I've ever seen, never gives up. Sheds blockers like porn stars shed clothes. Quick, agile, and smart as well. With a good combine, i see him being a 3-5 round pick.
4: Jeremy Zuttah, OT- An excellent blocker, he and the next 2 boys have anchored RU's OL for the past 3 years as starters.
5: Pedro Sosa, OT- steller blocker, helped lead RU with least sacks given up in the NCAA last year.
6: Mike Fladell, LG- Just ask Ray Ray what he thinks. Just a massive guy who will just creme defenders. Superb run blocker. Will find a home in the NFL with his powerful style and huge frame.
7: Jeremy Ito- K,P,QB- What a player. Yea, he's a kicker, only reason he's so low here, but kid can do it all. Can punt rugby style, normal and is the top kicking prospect ever. His arm is outstanding, i mean, look at those guns!! Great kid who i could go on and on about all day. Would cream myself if he went to the Giants. He is way better and sexier than the incompetant Lawrence Tynes.
8: Ron Girault, SS- I LOVE this kid. One of my favorites. Plays with heart and is a tackling machine. Won't miss and hits HARD. He's also a great pass defender who has surprisingly good hands(see Rutgers-Navy game, helluva pick). Top 5 run stuffing DB in this draft, no doubt. Lack of good timed speed and this years ankle injury will hurt him on draft day, but I feel he should get drafted.
9: Kenny Britt, WR- Amazing combo of size and speed. Will go up and make great catch. VERY hard to bring down. Wont pile up stats with a not so great QB but unbelievable prospect, and only a sophomore.
10: Tiquan Underwood, WR- OK, someone stole his hands, give them back NOW!! Playmaking kid, with excellent speed, but his case of the dropsies and his lack of height keep him from being an elite WR.

there, now couple other guys who could very well be on here like the McCourty's, Anthony Davis, and Westerman, but these are the top 10.

Call me crazy, but it may have something to do with the fact that he's actually done something without the shotgun and the receivers.
In addition to not playing in the "system" for six years prior to this one, Brady only runs out of the shotgun half the time and New England runs the football 32 times per game.

Argh. It's easier to make a "10 worst players" list. Schilling, Ortmann, C. Graham, Mallett, Crable, Adams, S Brown, Englemon, Jamison, Manningham, Mitchell, Warren, Kraus, Harrison, Butler, Our entire kick coverage team...

Warren? Crable? Englemon? Manningham? Come on....

Warren? Crable? Englemon? Manningham? Come on....

Warren- Great for a freshman (love the attitude), doesn't change the fact that he gives up way too many completions because of huge cushions and inexperience

Crable- Can't tackle, gets personal fouls when he actually DOES tackle, failed geometry

Englemon- Actually, I might have been tough on him. He's been solid for the most part, but bites on play actions too easily and gives up big plays

Manningham- doesn't care about winning, isn't good enough to not care about winning

1. Mike Jenkins - Kid is a beast.
2. George Selvie - Think about what he'll do once Leavitt teaches him an inside move.
3. Trae Williams - Will be a solid NFL corner.
4. Matt Grothe - 90% of the offense.
5. Ben Moffitt - Plays at 110%, 110% of the time.
6. Nate Allen - Ballhawk
7. Tyrone Mckenzie - Just runs around and hits people.
8. Mike Ford - Would be higher if not for a fumbling issue.
9. Jarriet Buie - Run Stopping DE next to Selvie.
10. Brouce Mompremier - Is a beast when he's not even playing his true position.

Playmaking kid, with excellent speed, but his case of the dropsies and his lack of height keep him from being an elite WR.

there, now couple other guys who could very well be on here like the McCourty's, Anthony Davis, and Westerman, but these are the top 10.

okay look Jabu just needs his chance Schanio just loves Teel too much and dosent give Jabu enough passes to get in a rythm belive me ive seen this guy play before college and hes got Vick potential... and yes one of the two backs before ray rice will be great theyve shown flashes of brillance

Honorable Mention: QB Jarrett Brown, RB Noel Devine, OL Jake Figner, LB Marc Magro, LT Ryan Stanchek, LB Reed Williams

i completely agree; and all listed except for mundy, dykes, wicks, schmitt are eligable to come back

i was very surprised about mundy; i heard from um fans he wasnt good, but he has been the missing piece in the secondary

Offense:

1. Cory Boyd (Sr.)
2. Kenny Mckinley (Jr.)
3. Mike Davis (Jr.)
4. Jared Cook (So.)
5. Dion Lecorn (Fr.)

Defense:

1. Jasper Brinkley (Sr.)

4. Captain Munnerlyn (So.)
5. Darian Stewart (So.)

Just really based this off of performance on the field and not potential. Because, we have tons of potential stars who havent seen much time yet.

We're young, just wait until...Brian Maddox, Chris Culliver, Jason Barnes, Wesyle Saunders, Stephen Garcia, Clifton Geathers, Kenrick Ellis, Melvin Ingram, and Travian Robertson all get some real PT. Beastly. :)

showing flashes of brilliance doesnt put you above 3 NFL calibur linemen... Robinson is a frosh in a limited role and Kordell is coming off knee surgery.

Jabu is a fan favorite b/c of his name and running ability. He cant throw a lick. And if Schiano loves Teel so much, why was he pulled midway through the Pitt game? and what happened when Teel went back in eh?

and to compare Jabu to Vick is awful and disgraceful.(not talking about a certain situation w/Vick). Vick was an incredibly gifted playmaker who could also throw. Everytime lovelace is in, 95% of th eplays are runs. What happens with that? the D stacks the box. and anthony davis as our 2nd best player? there were so many things wrong with that list i cant even explain

For Mizzou I would go like this:

1. Chase Daniel QB- Has been the catalyst of taking our program to the next level.

2. Jeremy Maclin WR- A kid who we don't typically get at Mizzou. By far the most talented player we have and is a playmaker in the truest sense of the word. I expect him to run a legit 4.2 in the 40 when he goes pro barring any injury.

3. Sean Weatherspoon LB- The heart of our defense. Has really kept our D respectable this year. Will be playing on Sunday's in a couple of years.

4. Martin Rucker TE - The guy we always go to when we "have" to get a few yards. Has really improved his downfield blocking this year becoming a more complete player. Has also filled in at fullback being our short yardage guy when needed. He's going to get drafted a round lower than he should because of his lack of top end speed and will be a nice player at the next level.

5. Chase Coffman TE - Sure handed and a load to bring down. Has been a great red zone threat at Mizzou and is never tackled by less than three guys.

6. William Moore S - A big hitter in our secondary who always seems to be around the ball. He's another player that will be playing on Sunday in a few years. Nice speed and can fill in at corner in a pinch.

7. Adam Spieker C - The best of a very underrated offensive line. Has been a very solid player for us during his career and though he won't amount to anything more than a backup at the next level he's been a great college lineman.

8. Will Franklin WR - Underrated wide reciever who always gets the other teams best CB. Very fast with good hands and willing to go over the middle to make a catch. He probably would have posted better stats at another school but is never complains when he's left to play a complimentry role.

9. Carl Gettis CB - A true freshman who wasn't all that highly regared coming our of high school, he definetly has gotten the attention of Big 12 coach's this year. This guy is going to be a shutdown corner for MU for a few more years and his cover skills are very coveted in what has become a passing conference.

10. Lorenzo Williams DT - It's nice that I actually have to leave a bunch of good players off of this list, but we are not used to that here. Williams is not great, but he does provide push in the middle and is able to put pressure on the QB. He seems to make big plays when we have our backs against the wall and has great endurance for a 300 lb guy.

How's Mike Williams been looking? All I can go by is the stat sheet, where he's your leading receiver with a decent number of TD. Just wondering because he's probably the best player to come out my school's conference in a while.

Williams has a TD streak going (I forget how many games), but it is impressive since we only score about 1 a game.

He is very inconsistent though and will make the spectacular catch (Ex: ridiculous 1 handed catch for a TD a few weeks ago) and then drop the easy catch. He is a legit NFL prospect especially since he's only a sophomore. Also, Jim Boeheim, Bernie Fine and Paul Harris are trying to convince Greg Robinson to let Williams play basketball too. Williams really wants to and I hear that he probably will end up on the team, if not this year, then definitely next. I could actually see him logging significant minutes - I hear he was nasty at Buffalo in HS.

He definitely did more to hurt us in basketball than football.
I know he had connections with Harris and Flynn but hadn't heard anything about him possibly joining the team in a while.

I don't think so. And Matt Flynn is way too high on that list. Here is LSU's 10 best imo:

1. Glenn Dorsey
2. Ali Highsmith
3. Early Doucet
4. Craig Steltz
5. Herman Johnson
6. Jacob Hester
7. Tyson Jackson
8. Ciron Black
9. Marlon Favorite
10. Al Woods

There is no way Trindon Holliday or Matt Flynn are top 10 players on that football team...it is just so talented especially in the trenches.

Yea I've only been a college fan for 'bout 3 years so I'm not solid with our team. Well, I guess you could say those are my favorite players. I love seeing Holiday get the ball. Half the time he takes it to pay-dirt baby!

i think despite not being a starter noel devine has to be somewhere in the top 10. hes just phenomenal and one of the best freshman in the nation. fun player to watch too and just has that IT factor.

Very true, though I did put him in the honorable mention. If Pat McAfee hadn't been kicking the ball so well in recent weeks, I'd probably bump him. But his ability to boot the ball as both a kicker and a punter has been a strong factor in WVU's success in the field position game.

I'm not sure at this point if you can knock any of the other players mentioned off the list. The offensive guys should be clear in terms of why they are there (though you could make a case that Devine should be included over Schmitt from a talent/ability perspective), but the defensive guys listed have really stepped up and done well this year.

We'll have plenty of time in the next few years to talk about how great Devine is, though. I expect him to really be a force in this zone read offense. :D

My team's Auburn, but I've only seen them on TV this year. I get to watch Texas A&M quite a bit, though, so I'll rate the Aggies.

BTW, my list is of football players, not athletic ability or impact on the team. i.e. I won't rate a QB over a TE or a LT over a guard just because he plays a more important position. Also, I won't rate Goodson over Lane simply because Goodson is more athletic and likely to make an impact at the next level.

1. Martellus Bennett, Jr. TE

2. Jorvorskie Lane, Jr. RB (one-half of the best RB duo in the Big XII)

3. Mike Goodson, So. TB (the biggest playmaker on the team)

4. Red Bryant, Sr. DT

5. Cody Wallace, Sr. C

6. Chris Harrington, Sr. DE

7. Kellen Heard, Jr. DT (inconsistent, but when he's on he's the best lineman on the team)

8. Travis Schneider, Jr. LT (the most overlooked lineman on the team)

9. Kirk Elder, Sr. OG

10. Chris Alexander, Sr. FB (and he may be underrated here)

Here's a shot at rating Auburn, but take it with a grain of salt. I'll try to stay away from just ranking the skill players at the top, and some guys look better on TV than they really are.
1. Tray Blackmon, So. LB (Is always moving forward despite his size. Loves contact.)

2. Quentin Groves, Sr. DE/LB (Wasn't as effective earlier in the season, but has regained his form since)

3. Brad Lester, Jr. TB

4. Sen'Derrick Marks, So. DL (I hate to put him so much higher than Josh Thompson, but he's been an absolute stud. Extremely versatile... plays DE most downs, but they'll move him inside on passing downs when they want to get Antonio Coleman or another active DE on the field.)

5. Jason Bosley, Jr. C

6. Lee Ziemba, Fr. OT

7. Aairon Savage, So. S

8. Patrick Lee, Sr. CB

9. Carl Stewart, Sr. FB

10a. Josh Thompson, Sr. DT
10b. Wes Byrum, Fr. K
10c. Cole Bennett, Sr. TE
