Who is the best and where do you think he will be drafted? I'm looking into some tight ends for my mock draft for Atlanta considering Alge Crumpler is one of the most over-rated players on the Falcons' roster IMO.

Thanks.

Fred Davis- 2nd
John Carlson- Late 2nd Early 3rd
Martin Rucker- 3rd
Jacob Tamme- 4th
Darrell Strong- Late 4th Early 5th

Didnt you guys draft that TE from Georgia last year in the 4th? no need to give up on him this early.

Sorry that was two years ago. My fault.

Overrated - John Carlson/Notre Dame

Underrated - Craig Stevens/California

falcons drafted martnez milner(Sp) last year if im not mistaken

is there any TEs worth a first round pick?

Martrez Milner is a huge bust. If we were to draft someone else instead of Milner, probably Crosby, I would say that last year's draft would of been the best draft in Falcons history and the best draft overall last year.

I would tend to agree with that, i think Rucker could go earlier, him and Coffman(who may come out) will be interesting to watch tonight against KU.

Can anyone give me a scouting report on them considering Scouts,Inc. doesn't have anything on them? I believe it's hard to find good TEs later in the draft though, right?

I think your slot receiver(chris cooley types) would probably be Davis and Tamme. Rucker and Coffman play in a bit of spread so its hard to project them and Carlson would probably be your more traditional type. All are going to run in the 4.6-4.7 range. Dont know if that helps.

I really like Jacob Tamme...and i think he could go abit higher than expected...maybe late second to late 3rd???

I like Tamme as well, I dont know about his size though, but I think Fred Davis is slowly working his way to the bottom of round one or early second round pick, i saw the highlights of the last usc game and he can really run

40 times are going to be big. Zach Miller was more highly touted than Olsen but after ripping off the 4.51 at the combine last year Olsen shot up boards because no one cared about production because they knew the offense was garbage. In the same way, height/size at check-in will be big because everyone in the pro community seems to agree that if you have a certain body type and can catch, they can teach you the rest. If any of those guys check in at closer to 200 than 250, they might be viewed as future wide outs and have their stock dip. The way I see it as of now: Davis will go first, then Carlson, Tamme, Rucker. Tamme could leap frog Carlson if he checks in well.

I agree about Crumpler he has to be toward the tops in the NFL with droped passes.

Falcons wouldnt draft a TE until the 4th or 5th round or later.

I want Fred Davis for the Eagles. He's an okay blocker, but he's great at stretching the field (a converted wideout) and he fits the Eagles offense perfectly.

Anyone think Martellus Bennet will come out? With the new head coach and everything I don't know if would stay and learn Sherman's system now

If he does i think he will be the top rated TE after the combines the man is a beast(6'7 250), great speed, huge vertical, and good hands, a perfect pass catching TE

Yeah I think your right, I doubt they will give up on Milner after just 1 year, he is out for the year with a injury. There is a lot of holes on the team more important then a backup TE.

He has never scheduled surgery to remove the stone from his hands.
