I wouldn't be surprised to see VT ranked higher than LSU. Losing late in the season hurts a lot (except in the computer polls), plus VT lost to two highly ranked teams while LSU lost to two lesser (but still very strong) teams.

Well, it's a computer-based projection, rather than some random guy's guess.

I've been following this one all year and it is almost always accurate. After just a cursory review of your predictions this week, I can guarantee that you have a few spots wrong in the top ten.

I realize VT got smoked by LSU, but the BCS is about what have you done for me lately. VT has been one of the best teams in the country down the stretch, LSU lost to an unranked Arkansas team. VT is also an entirely different team than they were Week 2. Sean Glennon/Tyrod Taylor compares favorably to last year's Chris Leak/Tim Tebow combo.

I don't care if they are unranked. Any team with DMC on it is a major threat in my eyes. Add into the fact that VT got killed, blownout, beat up, destroyed by LSU gives me no reason to put them ahead of LSU.

Georgia got beat by South Carolina and got killed by Tennessee, didn't even make the SEC championship game and they are ranked #4 in the latest BCS poll so Virginia Tech being ranked ahead of LSU shouldn't come as a surprise.

Yes. If Georgia finishes in the top 4 they are guaranteed a BCS game.

Va tech will move ahead of them with a win so they won't be in the top 4 next week. But nevertheless they probably make the Sugar or Fiesta Bowl. Probably the Sugar against Hawaii.

kmartin575
11-25-2007, 11:21 PM
oh my bad, for some reason i thought they havent before

i wasnt bashing mizzou, im just saying they're going to lose. what the **** is wrong with you?

And why is Mizzou going to lose? Last time we played we had the lead going into the 4th quarter but we gave the game away with turnovers. We were also missing our starting runningback, Tony Temple. With a ground game in addition to the passing game we are a much more lethal offense. The Tigers outgained Oklahoma in yards so it's not like Oklahoma played much better than us.

And, as I have mentioned many times before, Oklahoma has only lost twice in Norman, Oklahoma in the Bob Stoops era. A game on a neutral site is a completely different situation. Due to the close proximity with Oklahoma a game in San Antonio still might have more Sooner fans but it is still not anywhere close to the homefield advantage Oklahoma has in Norman.

Plus, the two teams that Oklahoma lost to were Colorado and Texas Tech. Missouri dominated Colorado 55-10 and Texas Tech 41-10. While the ability to beat teams that beat Oklahoma doesn't mean Missouri will beat Oklahoma but it does mean Oklahoma is not some invincible team that Missouri cannot hang with. Oklahoma has lost to some pretty average teams. Missouri's only loss came on the road against a higher ranked team.
