Thought a thread like this might be useful, and I hope you guys like it. I will try to update as fast as possible when teams are officially announced as a participant to the different bowl games.

I have included the all-star games as a little bonus.

Just wondering do the bowl selectors go by conference standings? Cause UVA was 3rd in the ACC at 6-2 in the conference, 9-3 overall, and Clemson was 5-3 in the conference and 9-3 overall, but Clemson is ranked 16th and UVA 22nd and Clemson is a sexier pick so who gets the 3rd best bowl slot for ACC teams?
But pretty much I think we are either going to the peach bowl or whatever they call it now, or the Champps bowl.

Rutgers will go into some lame bowl and beat up on a weaker team like last year.

Unlike the fairweather and bandwagon RU fans, albeit I'm a bit disappointed this year, RU is heading to their 3RD STRAIGHT BOWL!!!! talk about rising from the ashes eh? An 8-4 or 7-5 finish is excellent compared to some other seasons we've had.

Interesting didn't know the Chic-fil-a bowl goes to ACC #2 and not the Gator bowl, so if it goes by conference standings UVA will go to the Gator bowl, I would be ecstatic if they went. But I can see them choosing Clemson if they have the option since they have that beast running game and UVA's offense is boring. But we do have Chris Long the best defender in college football.

Rutgers has accepted a bid to play in the International Bowl, marking the third consecutive season the Scarlet Knights will play in a bowl game after a nearly three-decade drought.

Rutgers, which had a 7-4 record going into Thursday night's game at Louisville, will play a team from the Mid-American Conference, most likely Ball State. The Cardinals earned a share of the Mid-American Conference West Division title with a 27-21 victory over Northern Illinois last Saturday.

I'll be at the International Bowl, don't give it a bad name. Last year Cincinnati thought the same thing going into their game against WMU. They put up a huge lead thanks to Dominick Goodman but WMU rallied and almost tied the game with a late FG but it was missed. 27-24 Cincy. The MAC has some solid teams and players so I wouldn't get too cocky, albeit Rutgers is better than Cincy was last year. I can't wait to witness a bowl game with legit talent. Ray Rice>Ameer Ismail.

I hate to say it but I don't think Rutgers can sustain this. They just sitll aren't getting the players they need. 3rd straight bowl which is basically 3 years without BC, VT, and Miami in the Big East. Now Cinci and UConn are showing strength and Rutgers finishes 5th in a questionable Big East.

really? this year and last they weren't supposed to be as good because their top talent was too young. Think the WR corp stays the same with Tiquan a senior and Britt and Brown Jr's. Hopefully Teel is healthy next year. The OL has young talent with Davis, Blaze, Haslam, Frost.

the biggest RU questions next year are who fills the safety hole if Greene leaves, can Young/Robinson handle load if Ray Ray leaves, and can Abreu be the playmaker on D we sorely need. I'm a bit mroe optimistic about RU's future.

Penn State accepted a bid Friday to play in the Dec. 29 bowl game in San Antonio against a Big 12 team -- likely either Texas Tech or Texas A&M. The final determination will probably be made Sunday.

The Nittany Lions (8-4) last played in the Alamo Bowl in 1999, when they shut out the Aggies, 24-0.

"This team has worked hard all season and has been a great group to work with. I'm happy for the squad that their efforts will be rewarded with an opportunity to go to San Antonio," Paterno said in a statement.

Probably the best situation for Virginia Tech.. We weren't likely to beat LSU or Ohio State but have a pretty good shot at taking down Kansas and finishing as the number 2 team in the nation.

But my favorite should be Virginia Tech. vs. Kansas if their offense acts like it did against a comparatively slow Missourii defense.

I am absolutely psyched that UVA didn't get dumped to the ACC number 4. Instead, we are ACC 3, and to be honest, I prefer the Gator Bowl than the Peach Bowl. Always feels good to say New Year's Day game. Gonna be an interesting matchup with Texas Tech. Tough matchup ... one that UVA's D could struggle some with. Gonna need the run game big time in that one to control tempo, I would think.

I'm pulling for Florida Atlantic.

I live in an area where I could potentially see five total bowl games but I don't have the cash. I could easily see the Texas Bowl, Liberty Bowl (would love to see it), GMAC bowl (gonna be a good one), New Orleans Bowl of course, and the Independence Bowl.

I don't mention the Sugar Bowl or National Championship Game because there is no way I could pay for tickets.
