Love seeing Crabtree up there.

Kinda hard not to have him up there with the stats he put up...A tad surprised at Adibi, I thought Connor was a lock for it, but I assume they didn't want all of the guys from the "slow" Big 10. Oh, look at that, Big 10 had 5 guys on the list (Long, Barton, Laurinaitis, Leman, Mehlhalf) while God's conference only put two on there (Dorsey, McFadden)

The WAC has just as many players as the SEC.

Matt Ryan?! Seriously?

He's probably the 5th QB I would have picked for this list.

I wouldn't have even put Ryan on the 3rd team much less the 1st.

First off this is the coaches team so i question how much they actually see of any players that arent on their schedule. As for Ryan he's taken a marginally talented team to the ACC title game, something Woodson and Brohm couldnt do.

I would put Tebow, Bradford, and Daniel ahead of him and could make a case for Dixon, Woodson, Reesing, Brennan and Brohm.

Biggest load of horse**** ever.

Taylor Mehlhaff: 20-24, 40-41 PATs, Long of 51

Thomas Weber: 20-21, 40-40 PATs, Long of 52

Now tell me who is better.

MATT RYAN?
His team has lost a few. He hasnt been that good statiscally even considering a good line and good enough WR's. Thats just a terrible selection

BC has good recievers. Thats news to me. I'd be surpised if any of the guys on BS WR corps ends up playing in the NFL

Matt Ryan!?!? What a horrible selection. He has the 5th efficiency rating in the ACC! The only other bad selection after that was Xavier Adibi.

He did say good enough, implying that they aren't great, but serviceable. However, I like BC WR Justin Jarvis. He's got good size, and pretty decent hands. He's only a sophomore, it'll be interesting to see how he progresses.

explain to me how adibi was a bad pick? and brandon flowers made first team as well, i was looking and they had 5 db's for some reason. the asterick on lowery means something.

I think it means repeat selection. I mean look at the guys with asterisks. All of them had big years last year as well

Adibi was a bad pick because there are better linebackers in the nation. He's not top 3.

I think it's a little bit funny that we question these picks. I think coaches know more than we do as far as player performance goes.

Lowery is a very good cornerback, even I forget about him sometimes. I can see him having a huge senior bowl and making it back into 1st round

he told my friend that he isnt going to the senior bowl(even tho they called him) he wants to go the the earliest bowl(east west shrine?) and then train the rest. At 6'1" 195lbs and runs in the low 4.4s i can see his stock raising HIGH! Also he did a lot more than just a CB and they threw a lot less than last year.

Yeah he had a solid year, he is a good return man as well. If he drops a 4.41-4.48 I can see him in the 1st round.

Yeah I do recall Lowery doing well in JUCO, so the agent sold him on the lack of respect card and no one willing to give you a shot card and how the agent can allow him the chance to win that respect and get that chance at the next level

and you know what, hes working that. Dont be surprised if he comes in at a VD shape. hes gonna be beastly. hes already training 4 hours a day, and its only gonna go up. when u want a hard working person, Eclipse is what you want. That wr will get a catch every once in a while, but hell be on him like white on rice.

Malcolm Jenkins gets no respect, it is a travesty that he did not make this list or the thorpe finalists. Biggest snub on there imo

I also find it ridiculous that they vote on all of this with 1 week still left to be played. Just like Award semi-finalists/finalists are awarded on half a season. =(

If you haven't distinguished yourself by mid-season, can you really be considered the best at your position?

Except what happens if you just completely bomb the last couple games of the season and someone just looks amazing. Plus, the Big 10 gets much more favor because of how early there season ends. As for the PAC-10, our season ends late, so we won't get as many all-americans if they are picked so early.

I was talking about the award semi-finalists moreso than the all-american lists. If a guy on one of the lists bombs, people just don't vote for him. I don't think half a season of great work is worthy of a position award.
