my IPOD mini is all messed up, I charge it for 2 hours and it shows a fully charged battery, then it goes to basically no battery at all in 5 seconds, then it says "IPOD out of battery". Do I just need a new IPOD or is there anyway I can get this fixed?

How long have you had it because you probably have to get your battery replaced by taking it to the Apple store.

about 2.5 years.
how much will a battery replacement cost? Would it just be better for me to get a new ipod?
I got it at best buy, will that affect anything if I try to get a new battery at the apple store?
