I would possibly vote NCAA myself but I play Playstation 3 and it must be the EA servers that suck online because this is the only game I get dropped from the server by.

Madden 08 Blows...NCAA 08 is a fantastic game.

QFT. I can't believe how many people voted for Madden already. NCAA has better gameplay, dynasty mode, minigames, etc. It would be the best game ever if I didn't have to plug in everyone's names when I first buy it.

And I'd know, I have all three. Neither are terrible, but this is the order. NCAA seems more fluid, even though I'm a pro guy. Has a few glitches though. Madden is great, a bit whacky though, and if you want a realistically good player for superstar mode, you need to import him from NCAA or use a rookie. Creating players leads to messed up attributes. APF has pretty bad graphics, decent gameplay, although it needs some tweaking. It's also very bare as far as features. They need to adjust the team creation pattern so you can pick up another team's players or something. Plus non-star players suck, as do some of the "legends". Andre Ware being called a legend is a crime against humanity.

Im assuming it has generic, made up names. Can I customize my own teams like all pro (or Forza) and create "USC " for example and then customize a player and name him Reggie Bush?

Yes, this game is supposed to have the deepest customization ever seen in sports. Also they have "import logo" so you can import an NFL logo or anything you want and it will go on your created teams helmet/field, etc.

Its on consoles. Only next-gen (PS3/360) though.

I think Madden is what killed console for me. It's a horrible game. That add on all this worthless sh*t and monopolize the competition. I wish NFL never sold them their license. I pretty much think EA in general is a horrible company. After Madden 08 I never use my 360 anymore. I'll just use my computer, and put some money away every month, upgrade everything so I can run the next Gen PC games.

PC > console.

blitz or any football game > Madden.

Seriously, 11 guys at a time(a first for a football game), twice as many plays, and every team in the league. Tecmo Super Bowl blows Tecmo Bowl out of the water, it isn't even close.

Nothing can beat the force of Sean Salisbury, Jack Del Rio and Mike Tice of the Minnesota Vikings on Tecmo Superbowl lol. I use to love to use the Steelers on Tecmo Superbowl 3 because of Rod Woodson was fast and running up down up down, he was unstoppable.

Also Christan Okoye was amazing in the game.

Yeah, essentially the names ARE in the game. They just have to get around legal issues by not having them there originally. Like in past games, the announcers would say "Samardzija" or "Zbikowski", I think it's the same this year.

NFL EA contract to end in 09, signed in 04, for 5 years, so does this mean, we have to wait for madden 09 or madden 10, that sounds stupid i wonder what they will call it after 2010 or 2011. Maybe madden will go down hill in 09 and no one will buy it.

Madden 95 and Madden 2005 were the best of that franchise.

ESPN needs to have a tournament with NCAA Football instead of Madden. I would own. I always thought that thing on ESPN where the winner of playing Madden wins like $100,000 was all about the luck of the draw. The best player that has to use the Texans will more than likely lose to a worse player if he gets to use a team like the Colts or Patriots.

Does anyone remember when the "Import rosters to Madden" option pops up in franchise mode in NCAA 08?

I cannot for the life of me remember, im simulating the whole season and nothing is popping up.

I disagree, I really don't like All Pro's gameplay much. If you mean the engine, then maybe. Like, maybe if they had NFL players it would be better. But I find that unless you're using "Legends" your players are absolute ****. Like I had a non-legend RB, and he sucked. I had Rice on one side, a non-legend on the other, and he sucked.
