You speak as if he was in the 9 member Wu Tang clan, he was in a duo, not very hard to be the least talented.

Damn.. RIP. I never really made an attempt to get into UGK, but I respect how long they've been around. Definitely had a big following, and when I heard Pimp C, he was almost always good.

If you know anything about Texas music, this is like Nas dieing to us...33 years old, Houston rappers are falling every year..

I never really liked Pimp C, I thought Bun B was clearly the better of the two. However he led the way for southern hip-hop and was a pioneer. RIP

Yeah I sure the only deaths that could overshadow this for Texas Hip Hop heads is if Bun B or Scarface died.

Anybody who doesn't know who he is... you guys have never even heard of "Big Pimpin'" with Jay-Z or "Sippin' on some sizzurp" with Three 6 Mafia??? Surely you heard it while at a party or flipping channels. Anyway half of the duo UGK is Pimp C. Just about every southern rap artist was inspired by these guys and they still make good rap music.

R.I.P.

The coroner is saying that it appears he died of natural causes.

Everybody listen to International Player's Anthem in his memory.

Ive been listening to Dirty Money and Ridin' Dirty all day, putting something in the air for that boy Pimp...

And your pretty much correct, only people who would overshadow this would be Scarface or Bun B...havent heard Bun come out and talk but I know he's tore up over it, he held it down while he was in jail though...

Def gonna have to scoop up the XXL tribute issue they will do

They also did a few songs with Too Short, my favorite of which is this (http://youtube.com/watch?v=jVVbbfSoi24).

One of the very few songs that I can stand listening to a ***** sing in the background in an annoying fashion for its majority. Other than her, that is an excellent cut. Well, she's ok in spots. But she just gets carried away with it toward the end.

I'm surprised so many people don't know who pimp c is. I've always thought of them as mainstream, but that's probably because I first heard about them in 1993 when Menace II Society was released. Doesn't everybody remember pocket full of stones (http://youtube.com/watch?v=WnSNoj_kxRk)? Like others have said, UGK are pioneers of southern rap. Not a fan of much of their newer stuff though.

YFS, I think this (http://youtube.com/watch?v=rCWH2MmlHQE) cut might be a bit more fitting.

I dont think Pimp was a huge syrup sipper, at least not anymore but he could of been heavy into in years before....If that was the cause dont expect Weezy to last much longer because he is sippin lean more then probably anybody that lives in Texas...

But I also heard natural causes too, just doesnt seem right for someone not even in their mid thirties
