Looked like they were traveling to a football game. They all wore the same shirts, in a Greyhound bus, football players doing something like that to one of their own.

Do you know anything about this story? It was a robbery that went bad, not an assassination.

Wanna be thugs? They are pretty much the definition of thugs. Sounds like you think being a thug is cool or hard to be.

I'm still amazed by that. Just the fact that he was shot in his room, and his GF who witnessed it wasn't shot, and nothing was stolen. Plus the whole knife on his bed thing.

The story is pretty simple as reported, all of those guys have been in that house before. During the season Sean lets his mom and his 3 stepsisters live in his house. One of his sisters who he is paying for her college education frequently had crazy parties at the house. That is when these 4 first went into his house part of a party. They must have seen what they liked and saw how easy of a target it was. One of those guys who is a friend of Taylors sisters boyfriend was actually once hired to mow the lawn. As they confessed they went to rob the house and panicked and shot Taylor when they saw him coming out of the bedroom as they expected the house to be empty. They even said they were load probably screaming and shouting downstairs because of how easy this steal was. If they planned before to kill Taylor if they somehow knew he was in Miami for 2 days they wouldn't be making a ruckus while downstairs.

Ya, I knew the basics of the story. But when the news first broke that he was shot while in his room, a robbery sounded like the last thing it would have been.

I can think of a few. The one I most like is to put them (individually) in a 20 x 20 foot room with each of Sean Taylor's former teammates from Miami and Washington. One by one. Ten minutes apiece. And all ex-teammates be free from prosecution for anything they did to these four.

You can't give them 10 minutes apiece because the majority wouldn't get a chance to do anything but kick around a limp body.

They could have an auction to determine the order in which they go, then donate the proceeds to charity.
With a few minor tweaks the judicial system has so much potential

Ya, I have never liked the whole protection from cruel and unusual punishment. If you do something cruel and unusual, you should be punished accordingly.
Rape=Castration
Murder=death the same way you killed the person.
Slicing their femoral arteries and allowing them to watch themselves bleed out is more punishment than getting their ass beat to death.

Yeah but you can bleed out in as little as 5 minutes

A small room, Ray Lewis, no weapons. I think they'd set the line for how long one of those guys would survive at around 3 minutes

It's a way of making sure that lesser crimes don't get greater punishments. Also, it shows that the government doesn't act like brutual criminals when giving out justice.
Although I would support castration for rape.

Castration for rape is tricky though, would only work if there is indisputable evidence, otherwise women could claim to have been raped, cook up a story etc. without having been so and a guy could end up without his goods for no reason.

Right. It should probably be done for the most serious sex offenders anyways. Although, the judicial system is about proving someone guilty without a shadow of a doubt. Of course they can be wrong, but if a serious sex offender is proved guilty, I don't think castration's such a bad idea.

Rape can often be proved beyond a reasonable doubt. Most people who are falsely accused of rape get off. However, their reputation suffers tremendously.
If someone is given the death penalty, why give them a more humane death than they gave their victim?
I know they can bleed out in as little as 5 minutes. But I would be much more horrified seeing myself dying and knowing there isn't a damn thing I could do than getting beaten to death.

One problem with that, the brain of early man (who im assuming are closely related to these guys) was much simpler then man of today, and for this reason i only see them respondng to physical pain, and not so much mental.

Wow, someone's a little snippy. Not that I'm experienced with the art of breaking and entering, but it seems to me that if I got caught rummaging through somebody elses house I would run, I sure as hell wouldn't shoot at that person. Seems to me that if you are willing to break into someone elses house and you are carrying a gun, then you have no qualms with using it.

A lot of Rapists in certain states are already being chemically castrated in return for lesser sentences and to get out early.
So.. It's kind of being done.
