you can always do something to make yourself warmer, there comes a point where you cant really do much about the heat, so i'll take the cold

well I live in FL so definititly the heat, I would much rather sit outside in board shorts sweatin cause I can just go hop in the gulf to cool down. Plus sweatin like that makes me feel better, and the sun cures everything. I hate having to worry about wearing a bunch of clothes when its cold, I like being able to just throw on shorts,t-shirt and flip flops to go somewhere. I will say one thing though, and thats that I like to sleep in the cold, but my fan does the trick.

always a tough call... i really really really hate the winter. But i rarely go outside in the middle of the summer... I really would prefer the cold i suppose because snow is always fun.
I actually like the heat. I can just tolerate it more. It sucks living in Michigan.

Being from Houston I am not sure I know what cold weather is. If its below 65 its considered chilly in Houston. I'm used to the heat so I dont know which one I would prefer. I never minded 95+ degrees outside while in full pads practicing during high school. I have never lived up north where its consistantly cold during the winter.

Seriously though...I grew up near Cleveland. I thought I knew cold. I had no idea.

I'd rather be cold for sure.
I wear shorts in 20 degree weather. Also, like everyone else said, sleeping in the winter is better.
BTW, it matters on how hot, hot is, and how cold, cold is.
Hot could be 70 or 100.
Cold could be 50 or 0.

Nothing better than slepping in the cold. Especially looking outside your window and seeing the snow coming down, you can hear the wind blowing, and you know how cold it is outside, and you know just how warm you are under your blankets.
The cold prohibits you from doing so many things: swimming, playing sports, etc. Anything involving the outdoors sucks in the cold unless you're wearing 5 layers.
I live in Toronto and spend about a month every year in South Florida. Not a single person in my situation could ever doubt the heat.
im just a warm weather kinda dude.

Heat definitely! The 3 weather conditions I hate are:
-cold
-snow (guilty by assn. with the above)
-wind
And yet, I live in Wyoming?
By cold I mean in the 50s or 60s. Like today, it's 56....brrrr.
That's not real cold, unless you put a - in front of it. I'm not sure it's ever gotten quite that low around here, but I know it's gotten into the -30s.

You cold people are insane, only good thing about the cold is that it means its rugby season.
I love summer and everything about it, we have ocassional 100 degree days here (as in, probably 5 a year) and even then it's not that bad. Go to the beach, surf, fry, get some skin cancer going. Give me that anyday over a day where it's painful to be outside.
But in saying this i would hate to work outside in the summer, physical work in the summer just sucks (i'm looking at you preseason rugby training, you jerk)

^It can be painful to be in the heat, and the sun
^It can be painful to be in the heat, and the sun
Yeah i'm not gonna argue that. But the way my life is at the moment i'm working in an air conditioned office, going to the beach when i'm not at work, then drinking my nights away. Nothing overly painful about that.
I guess it's kind of the Australian summer but, everyone seems to come out of the winter hibernation and i just enjoy it so much more. Nursing some sunburn after a hot summer day by downing a few ales, having a barbeque on the beach and talking rubbish with your mates, honestly not much better in life.

Practicing football 4 times a week in December in Toronto is not fun. Let's get that clear.

I guess everyone is different. I'd rather be freezing during football practice, instead of being hot. You can always add layers on and get warmer, but you can't get any colder
