15 Arizona - Rashard Mendenhall, HB, Illinois*
Edge has about reached the edge, the time is now to groom he replacement. Wiz knows how important it is to be able to run the ball. He seems like the perfect back for his offense.

The idea that Arizona would draft a running back would only bring a new round of laughter from me regarding the selection of J.J. Arrington.

18 Detroit - Malcolm Jenkins, CB, Ohio State*
Who are the Lions starting CB's? You don't know do you, nuff said.

No, I don't. Is Fernando Bryant one of them? That's all I got.

20 Tennessee - Martin Rucker, TE, Missouri
A perfect match for VY

Can someone tell me wtf happened to Ben Troupe?

24 New York Giants - Quentin Groves, DE/OLB, Auburn
He seems to be the type of LB they like.

He also seems like the type of linebacker they already have.

28 Seattle - Dan Connor, OLB/ILB, Penn State
Value pick and an upgrade at LOLB.

I didn't realize Leroy Hill needed to be replaced. Oh well.

31 Dallas - William Moore, S, Missouri

Wide receiver if Crayton leaves.
Also, Flozell Adams isn't getting any younger.

Very mediocre Buc pick. Bowman is a good player, but isn't what the Buccaneers need at the wide receiver position.

Can someone tell me wtf happened to Ben Troupe?

Poor blocker who only sees the field on passing situations. Even then, he's always struggled. He has amazing talent, but he's never been able to translate it to the field. He also struggles with his concentration. Not the sharpest tool in the drawer, to be frank. Nevertheless, he has the highest YAC of our entire team and is great after the catch. He just hasn't panned out.

I love Martin Rucker, but I don't know if he's a 1st RD value.

Don't like the Cardinals pick, First of all RB isn't a 1st day need for us it is more of a 4th-6th round one, a guy who can be developed like Corey Boyd or Matt Forte. Secondly is think Mendenhall is extremely overrated and put up good numbers because of a weak Big Ten this year, I put him at about the same level as Ray Rice and Kevin Smith.

If Malcolm Jenkins falls to the Cardinals I would say its a lock he will be in Red next year.

The draft has as much to do about tomorrow as it does today. By that I mean the smart teams use the draft to improve 2-3 years down the road. That makes sense since rookies don't always make immediate impacts. The Cardinals don't have a RB who averages even 4.0 yards per carry. I'm a Steelers fan so I understand what Wiz looks for in an offense. He wants to run the ball first and formost. Do you expect Edge to be the starting RB in 2009? I don't, I bet he's retired by then. I respect your opinion about Mendenhall, but the Big 10 was not weak on a defensive standpoint. He'll get his chance to show his stuff on New Year's day against USC's defense. There will be plenty of solid CB's in the 2nd round. Chevis Jackson is a perfect CB for a 3-4 defense.

Love the Jets pick though.

Because Cason is rock solid. He would have been a top 20 pick last year. He has a text book approach at the CB position, excellent ball skill, decent size and speed. He's also a good return man which is just an added bonus to alot of teams. I evaluate CB's better than any other position. I had plenty of people telling me Darrelle Revis wasn't the top CB last year.

Why because everyone is on his bandwagon and says he's the top corner? FYI, I called the Levi Brown pick last February. I understand how this coaching staff thinks. The OL and running game are certainly the priorities of the offense. Defensively they need true 3-4 personel to fully make the transformation. That means proper DL and LB's. Their DL looks OK personel wise, but even though they have "starting LB's" they aren't quite right for the system. You may luck out and wind up with Alan Faneca (OG), Max Starks (OT), and Clark Haggans (OLB) from the Steelers via free agency. Again, there are CB's galore in this draft class, and Chevis Jackson is the ideal 3-4 CB.

The Cardinals are using a #3 corner, or a #2 on his best day as their #1 corner and then a nickelback as their 2nd CB. Please explain to me how that does not scream the Cardinals need a top CB. Edge, Arrington, and Shipp are fine right now for the running game.

Just because they need a CB doesn't mean that's an automatic first round pick. Why does everyone seem to think that's the way the draft works? Year after year teams show the draft down't work that way, yet all you hear is "need, need, need." I've followed the draft each year since 1989, I've come to realize teams rarely do what they are "expected to do." I try to think outside the box and get in the head of each team, not that it's possible to do. I'm not making any guarantees he on what way they will go with the draft, but you seem to be. I'm just giving my opinion based on what I know about the coaching staff and the team. Again, Chevis Jackson is an ideal CB for a 3-4.

2007 - Cardinals need OT, they take Brown.
2006 - Cardinals need QB, they take Leinart.
2005 - Cardinals need CB, they take Rolle.

Keep going down the years, and you'll see that the Cardinals almost always take a position of need in the 1st round.

Scratch out '05 and '06...different coaching staff. They took Brown last year because this coaching staff knows it all starts up front, and it was also a need. If in fact the Cardinals do draft for need every year that may explain their lack of success. most don't realize this, but bad teams need to go BPA while it's the good teams that can draft for needs. Think about it, it makes sense. How can a bad team pass up on the best players? Assembling a group of good players reguardless of their position is how to build a winner. Ever see New England draft for need? They can now though.
