With the 2nd pick of the draft The Anchorage Avalanche select...

Name: Clark Cloutier
User Name: MiamiU27
Position: Goalie
Number: 34
Height: 5'11
Weight: 185
Country: Canada
Strengths: Is extremely athletic. Moves well across the crease and has a great glove hand. Makes spectacular saves look easy and handles the puck with panache.
Weaknesses: When he loses focus, he goes into a bit of tailspin that can last for several games.
Comparison: Marty Turco
Clark Cloutier, G, Canada

With the 3rd pick of the draft The Anchorage Avalanche select...

Name: War Lordd
User Name: fenikz
Position: C
Number: #88
Height: 6'3
Weight: 221
Country: Russia
Brief Bio: War was born February 24th 1985, to Shogun & Banshee Lordd, he was the oldest child which would be a major role later in his life. Growing up in Arkhangelsk was never easy but his family worked hard to get by. One day his father just took off on their family, he left no note, no money, nothing. His mother decided the only way her kids could get by in this world is if the government gave them welfare so she killed herself. So their War was 16 years old and all alone in the world left to raise his younger brother and sister. The welfare helped but he had to make some money on the side and he knew who to turn to, good Ol' Uncle Vladimir. While the stuff he did wasn't exactly legal it made him smarter and tougher but the anger inside of him was building. He knew that his parents would of wanted him to stay in school and get good grades so he worked hard and soon was top of his class and in his sophomore year at his high school a coach reached out to him and asked if he would like to play hockey, he had always played as a child and was happy to play. He started as a freshman and lead the team to a championship at 15, byt he age of 18 he was part of the National team and shortly after winning his 2nd silver medal he announced his interests to come play in the IHL.
Strengths: A true speed demon on the ice, excellent puck handling abilities, very accurate wrist shot, a good passer with excellent vision, excellent deking ability
Weaknesses: Not as physical as his size would lead you to believe yet a surprisingly good fighter(Sambo World Champion), Slap shot isn't overly powerful but he gets by with placement, doesn't know much English so he struggles to communicate with American players, still resents the US government for killing his mother and farther during the Cold War.
Player Comparison: Evgeni Malkin
Additional Information: Member of 2005 & 2006 Silver Medal U20 Russian Hockey Team
War Lordd, C, Russia

With the 6th pick of the draft The Anchorage Avalanche select...

Name: Brian Straka
User Name: Bills2083
Position: RW
Number: 26
Height: 6'1
Weight: 199
Country: US
Strengths: Is a very fast player, who is very agile. He has one of the best wrist shots in the game. Can deke his way around almost every defenseman. Is a good backchecker. Will carry the team on his back. Never gives up on a play. (shoots left-handed, even though he's right handed)
Weaknesses: He's not the best checker in the league. Does not have a great slap shot. Needs to hit the weight room
Comparison: Maxim Afinogenov
Brian Straka, RW, US

With the 7th pick of the draft The Anchorage Avalanche select...

Name: Dion MacDonald
User Name: wo_ot88
Position: LW
Number: 26
Height: 6'2
Weight: 205
Country: Canada
Strengths: Is a natural goal-scorer, with plenty of size to fight through traffic and battle against big IFHL defensemen. Owns the confidence and hands of a veteran sniper.
Weaknesses: Can be guilty of being a little too unselfish at times, passing up a better scoring chance in the process.
Comparison: Thomas Vanek
Dion MacDonald, LW, Canada
