What do you think all pro WR or all pro TE which would you rather have?
This was a HUGE year for TE's around the NFL three TE's over 1000 yards and a 4th just 20 yards away.

Depends on my QB.
If I have a young inexperienced okay QB, then Ill opt for the All-Pro TE to help him develop and such.
If I have a veteran QB that can get the ball to his targets consistently, Ill want the All-Pro receiver for my QB to connect with.

all pro WR's are hard to come by...if you can get a TE that can block well and catch the occasional pass...you're good...

An all pro TE is good but a WR does more to me. They stretch the field and always make you keep a S over the top. I'd take Moss over Gates all day.

All Pro WR someone who can stretch the field, and like what was already said if you can find a big TE who can block well and catch you can win with that.

Pretty easy choice - wide receivers are far more dangerous. Kind of like asking whether you'd want Randy Moss/Terrell Owens or Antonio Gates/Tony Gonzalez. All of the top seeds in the playoffs have standout wide receivers - Moss/Welker, Owens, Driver/Jennings, Wayne/Harrison.

All-Pro WR.
TE is good, but they are more easy to find as ERU said.

I think it depends on the offense. For instance, I think Gates would have far more impact on the Titans than Chad Johnson.

Well an All-Pro TE is essentially a big WR that can block. But if they're an all-pro TE there's no sense in having them block on pass plays when you can throw it to them. On runs, it's different, though. I'll take an All-Pro WR, all things considered. Or, the best of both worlds:

As i have said for awhile now the TE is a QBs best friend. If you look back at some of the best offenses though the years a good TE and average WR is just as good as good WR and a average TE. Trent Green on the chiefs was a proof of this. Yes he had a good run game but 4000+ yards 3 seasons in a row isnt a product of good WRs

Give me a good wide reciever. We could use one of them here.

I'd rather have an All-Pro TE. You could have fast receivers to spread the field and a TE to make an all-around impact.

All Pro WRs tend to not be on losing teams as much as all-pro TEs. Would you rather teams game plan against Randy Moss this year or against Tony Gonzalez (or Antonio Gates if you prefer)? Exactly.

WR make more plays.

Without a doubt the WR. Speaking as a fan of a team with an overrated TE and no true #1 WR its a no brainier.

I think in almost every situation you would have to take an AP wide receiver over an AP tight end. A stud receiver just makes an offense so much more potent than an offense with a stud tight end.

I'll take the TE.
A lot teams have had one (or more) stud WR's, yet lose more games than they win year after year.
Chad Johnson, Larry Fitzgerald, Anquan Boldin, Andre Johnson, and Roy Williams. Great WR's, all of them. Combined, they have 25 years of experience, 27,000 yards receiving, 164 TD's....and a combined total of one postseason appearance. (A loss).
Anyone care to assemble a list of Pro Bowl caliber TE's with a similar track record of futility?
The way I look at it.
All-Pro TE will make your Offense efficient.
All-Pro WR will make your Offense explosive.
In the scheme of things I would say that an all-around complete TE can do more for your team then a WR can, aside from the obvious big play capabilities. A sure handed TE who can also block in the running game is much more valuable IMO. Not taking anything away from guys like Moss, TO and Steve Smith, they are obviously a major part on there respective teams, but I would prefer a great TE.

I said All-Pro TE, probably because I see what SD does w/ no standout WR. TE's get mismatches often, and an All Pro TE like Gates, or Winslow really help out a medicore QB (like oh say the ones the Bears have). So due to my Chicago enviornment, and not having QBs that could use an All Pro WR to their fullest, I say TE.
