if the Bears get Clady, I'll join that guy in that picture.

If the Jets are drafting a LB its gonna be a pass rushing DE/OLB like Gholston. Laurinaitis is good, but they dont need another ILB.

if cason runs a good 40 then id be ok with that pick. as long as it is NOT talib or mike jenkins.

WR is a bigger need for Buffalo.
Please give us Malcolm Kelly there.

Thank you, wasn't sure how Giants fans would react but I really like Leodis and think his stock will do some serious rising.

why is he holding a long potato in his hands

Phillips falls to the eagles at 19, wow i would have thought that AZ or maybe Hou. would have taken that saftey.

AZ i like the pick a rb to compliment and kick out the Edge

Phila. they need a safety and no one makes them better than the U

Pitt they clearly need line help and it was answered, i still like Oath or Williams here.

well CB is our biggest need. With Cason, my top guy(knowing Malcolm wont fall), gone, McKelvin is a fine pick with me. Reggie Smith could be another possibility, but I like McKelvin, he's a playmaker, something we depserately need in the secondary

I would much prefer Desean Jackson, he fills a much greater need for the bucs

Jakey

Loadholt would be a good pick, and he has great upside...but we need a player abit more NFL ready. Maybe Chris Wiliams???

I like Malcolm Kelly but if Kenny Phillips is on the board I don't think the Vikes would pass on him.

Stewart is awesome but not when Kenny Phillips is on the board(which he won't be so i won't have to worry about us passing on him)

Over Phillips and Clady? I'm not so sure about that...

I agree with Crazy Chris, Phillips would also be a great pick but I dont think you can go wrong with Kelly or Phillips.

Is that picture from Adam Archuletta's myspace page or what? No wonder he sucks so bad, that things has got to severely effect him in coverage.

Give the Raiders Laurinaitis or Gholston
Where exactly are we going to play Lil Animal? We already have enough guys who can't shed blocks.
Ellis or Gholston there is good.

This new trend of the Jags taking Early Doucet in the first round disturbs me.

I mean seriously, what has he done?

He's neither polished nor a physical freak.

20% chance that Carolina takes an RB in the first round?!???!!?Are you joking? They took DeAngelo Williams in the 1st two years ago and they still have Desean Foster. Why would they waste their first round pick on another RB. You really think the Panthers are 4x more likely to take a RB than a S even though Safety is clearly a much bigger need. It just doesn't make sense to me.

brat316

yeah that is pretty stupid thing to say, Rb should be less then 1 percent for Carolina. Safety should be up there

Unless the Jets trade Vilma (possibility but isn't a sure-thing) Laurianitis makes no sense. Even if we do make a trade a pass-rushing OLB like Gholston is a bigger team need.

Foster is paid like a top 10 (5? Don't recall off the top of my head) back and averaged 3.5 YPC while leading NFL RBs in fumbles. He won't be around next year, even with Fox's blind loyalty to "his guys."

Williams, on the other hand, is a home run hitter (much like the pre-last-injury version of Foster). He won't consistently get you the yards you need, but he will reel off big plays. Unfortunately, there are big questions about his durability and pass blocking. They'll have to pair him with someone. Could be a vet, could be a pick.

Safety is never perceived as that big of a need. Anyone who's followed Fox/Hurney's track record knows they always bring in a bunch of scrubs for the open spot ever since they ran Deon Grant out of town. Colin Branch, Marlon McCree, Shaun Williams, Deke Cooper. Safety's never been a big priority in the draft for them. It's even entirely possible they sit still entirely at the position and use some combination of the spare parts they have (Nate Salley, Quinton Teal, CJ Wilson; recall that Salley was pencilled in as starter before he got hurt this year). It's also possible that they re-up Deke Cooper and/or Marquand Manuel.

It's not how I'd build a team, but it hasn't been much of a detriment for them so far. Given their tight cap situation and other pressing needs (rebuilding the OL, pitiful pass rush, possible gutting of DT, etc.), safety's a luxury.
