i was looking at all our needs and have realized with a very good draft i think we would have filled alot of our needs. this is what i have come up with

ROUND 1- vernon gholston or chris long
ROUND 2-jeff otah or ray rice
ROUND 3-red bryant or quentin groves(if we dont get chris long) or jordan grimes
ROUND 4-ahtyba ruben or jason shirley or joe feilds

thats what i have come up with and would fill our needs of o-line d-line and just some other key guys. what do you guys think and would you be happy if the jets drafted some of these guys.

I hope we end up with gholston or chris long, 1a and 1b on my big board right now. Round two, im not sure otah falls that far, but if he doesn't i wouldnt mind seeing a Chris williams or Gosder Cherilllus, definately not ray rice for me. Round three i dont see groves falling but bryant would be great there, I also wouldn't mind Okam if he feel and Kendal Langford is a possibility. Jordan grimes is another possiblity and since we will be drafting high in round three its possible roy sheuning could be there as well. I love jason shirleys measurables, but just don't see him as a mangini player (normally i would say he could take a chance on a player if his background clears up like elam's did, but Jason Shirley is an absolute malcontent and was thrown out of school for numerous things).

Barring Free agency, which i think we do get a solid player from considering the depth at Oline, we can definately compete next year. Gholston/long a RT and an OG can help shore up a lot of needs.

I love ray, but, in my opinion his most comparable player is Thomas Jones. You could look at it as we are getting a younger version to replace him in a couple of years or see it as redundant. I think other needs are more important, but i can never argue with a Rutgers player drafted by the jets.
