if the lions get Goff in round 3 I might cry

ah who am I kidding, I would.

01-18-2008, 02:04 PM
wow, not a bad bears draft. im not high on cherilius but with the other tackles gone....i suppose thats not too bad of pick. i suppose in that situation with the tackles gone, they could go stewart or mendenhal, then keep rounds 2 and 3 teh same, and with their 2nd 3rd rounder, they should find a tackle or safety there

01-18-2008, 02:05 PM
and no colt brennan in the first 3 rounds. also interesting...

01-18-2008, 02:17 PM
perfect Bills draft

01-18-2008, 02:23 PM
Average Steelers picks...i love Sam Baker in round 1 though!

01-18-2008, 02:25 PM
give KC Trea Williams over Tribble in RD 3 otherwise good draft

01-18-2008, 02:26 PM
For the Giants mock:

1) Antoine Cason is not a first rounder and would a serious waste. Patrick Lee or Dan Connor would be better value.

2) Jerod Mayo is a MLB and even though he probably could switch to OLB in the Pros, why draft him when someone like Geno Hayes is still on the board anf is better value.

3) Not the best, but at least a position of need.

01-18-2008, 03:14 PM
I like the Colts picks, best mock for them I've seen so far.

01-18-2008, 03:31 PM
No way the Raiders pass on Sedrick Ellis in that situation, OL is not a bigger need than DL right now. Our defense was horrendous against the run (31st) while OL was much improved in the ZBS. We can address that position later on in the first day.

01-18-2008, 03:43 PM
Not crazy about the 1st round of the Bills mock, but I love the rest of it. I like the Patriots draft as well. I think J Leman could thrive in their defense. Great pick. Same with Donie Avery, who would esentially take over from Stallworth, if he leaves this year.

01-18-2008, 03:49 PM
I don't really like the Sweed pick. Before his injury I felt like he never really got good separation. And IMO not worth it to risk a 1st rounder on damaged goods.

2nd round, Ellis is a pretty good selection.

And since when do the skins not have a 3rd rounder?

01-18-2008, 04:20 PM
Give Atlanta Fred Davis in round 3

and Pat Sims with our first 2nd round pick. Woodson isn't the answer with that stupid windup.

01-18-2008, 04:36 PM
Not much to complain about here, only one thing.

Say we do take an OLB in Round 2. I think that Ted Thompson is going to look for a OLB/DE hybrid to open up the formations and options on defense as well as fill a need. That being said Shawn Crable would be a better option at that slot but again thats only my thought on the matter, I could be wrong but thats my personal take.

01-18-2008, 04:37 PM
James Davis is also going back to school, so fix #91 overall.

Ellis, then Sims. That'd be sweet.

01-18-2008, 07:24 PM
Great Jets draft.

Filling 3 major needs with very good players.

01-18-2008, 07:49 PM
Decent Panthers draft. I doubt they go DE in round 2, but there didn't seem to be any good DTs there. Maybe WR (Manningham reach a bit? Dunno). It's not impossible they go DE, though it would probably have to be someone of great value (i.e., better than Charles Johnson and Stanley McClover).

01-18-2008, 08:35 PM
Nice overall three rounder.

Round 1
16. Arizona Cardinals- Leodis McKelvin, CB, Troy, solid pick for the Cards at a need position.
31. Green Bay Packers- Jack Ikegwuonu, CB, Wisconsin, Would be a solid pick at this point, but I'm worried about his character issues and subpar 2007. Likely to be gone by this point if he times well.
32. New England Patriots- Pick Forfeited for cheating

Round 2

48. Arizona Cardinals- Jamaal Charles, RB, Texas, very nice second rounder. He'd be Edge's back-up for a couple of years before taking over as the starter.
63. Green Bay Packers- Geno Hayes, OLB, Florida St., I didn't see a lot of this kid, but he's listed at under 220 pounds and running a 4.70. That's UDFA material if true, even if he's a gamer. I'd like a SLB, but one that's faster and preferably bigger, but at least faster and has good cover skills.

Round 3

80. Arizona Cardinals- Erza Butler, DE/OLB, Nevada, Nice choice would make for a very solid Day 1 for AZ.

94. Green Bay Packers- Barry Richardson, OT, Clemson, I'm woried about the Looks like Tarzan plays like Jane comment. He reportedly is athletic and good in space, which is good for the ZBS. TT has not drafted an O-lineman heavier than 310, so I doubt Barry would be a Packer as his size makes running the ZBS a liability if he's not in impeccable shape. O-line a good thought, though I prefer a fast C/G to back up the starters in the middle.

Okay Ravens 1st Round. In round 2, I'd rather have Erin Henderson or Lawerence Jackson, I just don't think Justin King is worth that high of a pick.
Good 1st Round for the Texans, give them Tracy Porter in Round 3.

01-18-2008, 11:17 PM
2) Jerod Mayo is a MLB and even though he probably could switch to OLB in the Pros, why draft him when someone like Geno Hayes is still on the board anf is better value.

Jerod Mayo is a SLB in the NFL. I can only see him as a MIKE in a Cover 2, and probably as a ILB in a 3-4. But in a straight up 4-3, his best bet is at SLB. Nevertheless, one of the most versatile LB's in the Draft. But I guarantee that he'll say in his interviews that he prefers to play OLB.

As for the Titans...

1st RD: Kentwan Balmer is not the type of DT we need. I think Pat Sims or Dre Moore fit our scheme better. I like not going WR with Jackson, Kelly, and Sweed off the board.

2nd RD: Adarius Bowman is beautiful. Earl Bennett and Adrian Arrington are good options as well.

3rd RD: Trae Williams is good, but I'd be worried about missing out on Jermichael Finley or Martin Rucker in the 4th RD. Also, depending on if Jacob Bell leaves via FA and Benji Olsen possibly retiring, Barry Richardson may be a good pick. Mike Munchak can work wonders with OL, so maybe the value would be tough to pass up? I don't know if Richardson has experience at Guard, but playing on the Titans OL may ignite a nasty streak in him. I'd prefer to wait on a corner, and try to land Zack Bowman or Dwight Lowery in the 4th.

best. patriots. draft. ever.

01-18-2008, 11:49 PM
As a Vikings fan I can't complain about the picks.
Campbell has monster potential and fills a need.
Henderson doesn't really fill a need, but he's got good value in the round 2 and could potentially take over for Ben Leber in a year.
I'd probably go Thomas DeCoud with the 1st 3rd round pick considering Smith could be on his way out and Doss and Tank are both FA's.
Arrington would be a steal in the 3rd and could really help the passing game.

Jack Ikegwuonu = Great Pick
Geno Hayes = I think a bit early for him, hou i like his talent
Barry Richardson = bad fit in packers zone blocking system

01-19-2008, 12:44 AM
Decent Miami draft. I don't know how well Lofton would fit into our 3-4 so I would much rather go Justin King, Dre Moore, Chris Williams, or Pat Sims there instead.

01-20-2008, 01:52 PM
Best mock draft I've seen in the way of the Seahawks, hopefully it turns out like that. :)

01-20-2008, 02:47 PM
Gosder Cherlius won't be a top 15 pick, period. Give me Brohm or Woodson.

01-20-2008, 02:55 PM
Why would the Falcons draft a safety in the third round?

01-20-2008, 03:15 PM
I love the three other picks, but why Erin Henderson?

01-20-2008, 03:21 PM
I love the three other picks, but why Erin Henderson?
So he can be with his borther.
