how does ellis and phillips fall that far???

01-18-2008, 04:15 PM
I like the Raiders pick, but am starting to think the Rams would take him and pair him with Carriker. But I would love it if it went that way. Of course Davis may take McFadden, I wouldn't mind that either.

If Sendrick Ellis is available when the Giants pick, not only will that mean that Giants would have an impact DT and create even more mismatches for defenses, but it also means that God is a Giants fan. =D

how does ellis and phillips fall that far???

It happens, see Aaron Rodgers, Brady Quinn, Alan Branch.

01-18-2008, 05:03 PM
If Kenny Phillips is still available at #17 the Vikings gotta take him.

QBs w/ questions and a DT with injury concerns

The Bills have enough small, fast WRs. We need a big, physical type of guy.

I'd much rather go with Malcolm Kelly or Sedrick Ellis.

bored of education

I dont get the trade? What else is involved? Explanation please. Just because KC wanted Jake Long? Herm doesn't seem to trade up for people ever. Does it involve a 3rd rounder and future 2nd or what?

how does ellis and phillips fall that far???

Who cares? Phillips to GB would be wicked good. That it won't happen is a minor detail.

I like Leodis McKelvin to AZ as well.

Charger fan? I mean, there is no way that the Saints pass on Ellis to take Talib.

Yeah, that goes without saying.

Okay Ravens pick.

01-18-2008, 10:23 PM
The Panthers won't be taking a QB. And certainly not with Otah, Ellis, and Stewart still on the board at their pick.

Excellent Rams Draft

The demand for QB's is why Brady Quinn and Aaron Rodgers fell. Alan Branch fell because there was speculation that he had shin splints regularly, which means his legs were suffering due to his weight and the strain Branch put on them.

Sedrick Ellis and Kenny Phillips, on the other hand, are two of the top players in the Draft. Not to mention, Phillips is the best Safety in a weak Safety class, which will force a team that needs a quality safety to take him probably by the mid-1st RD. Same goes for Ellis, as he and Dorsey are the top 2 DT's in a class that in not very top heavy. It's Dorsey, Ellis, and the rest. So a team would have to take Ellis early if they really wanted an impact DT. Not to mention, the value of the two players are amazing after pick #16.

As for the Titans pick, Merling is good. I like high motor guys, and he'd be great opposite KVB. But, since you have Ellis and Phillips on the board, trading down so a team who wanted one of those players would be best. If we stay there, Ellis would be a better pick over Merling. But as I think neither will be available, Pat Sims would be a good pick as DT is a need. I don't like any WR that's available, aside for possibly Sweed. But I think we could get a WR who's close to Sweed's value in the 2nd RD.

Interesting how Scott puts Merling in his mock's first round and now he's widely considered by almost everyone as a first rounder...

decent Miami pick... would rather have VG though.

I just said it happens and there is a slight chance it may happen again, maybe he has a bad combine, doesnt interview well. Afterall, Phillips is from Miami.

01-19-2008, 05:27 PM
please give the giants sedrick ellis or kenny phillips there if they happen to fall that far

01-19-2008, 09:51 PM
it will take alot for Sed to fall that far, especially with so many teams looking to add a DT

01-19-2008, 11:30 PM
Josh Johnson balled out tonight in the East v. West Shrine Bowl game. I was disappointed with the receiver play on both sides. I am surprised to learn that Duvaughn Flagler hasn't been invited to a all-star game. I read up on him and he put up better numbers than almost any receiver I've seen in these past 2 all-star game. How are these all-star games picked anyway?

01-20-2008, 12:08 PM
LOVE THE CHARGERS PICK, but i doubt he will fall that far

01-20-2008, 12:34 PM
Give us Phillips over McKlevin just to much talent to pass up

01-20-2008, 04:06 PM
Beautiful Vikings pick.

01-20-2008, 07:09 PM
Love sam baker there
