Guy seems to have it all - size, speed, great production this year, excellent hands and can return kicks...only thing is he hasn't shown he can do it two years in a row.

Regardless after a good combine could he go in the first round?? His kick returning ability should help too..

the question is could he. yes he could, but will he, i tend to think not to, but he does have some momentum going into his pro day. i mean craig davis went in the 1st last year and not many saw that so i could see a team falling in love with the guy, especially if theres a run at receivers late in the first round

I don't see him making it into the 1st round given the wideout talent ahead of him and the overall depth of this draft, but if Chris Henry managed to go in the 2nd round last year, anything is possible.

Being a huge state fan, yes he could go in the 1st round. He has everything youre looking for as you mentioned. He also had inconsistent QB play and that made him make some outstanding catches (a la Calvin Johnson). The reason he didn't do this for two years in a row is because of stupid John L Smith who decided to only play the 3 senior WRs and freshman TJ Williams. Devin played special teams and did outstanding and the few times they let him play WR he had nice catches. A quote from DT on why the coaching staff didn't play him more, he said something along the lines, "well thats why they're not here anymore".

All that aside, if he has an outstanding workout then yes he could be a 1st rounder. One big downfall could be that he only has one year of tape and production so people will wonder if hes a one year wonder. Should have stayed one more year to make himself a sure flight first rounder, but the money and him being out of high school for 5 years already were a big draw. That and his new baby boy Devin Jr.

I think he could... only time will tell though. He's shown flashes of great potential, and if he develops into a better leader, I think he will be.

I think he's a early-mid 2nd right now, so he certainly could move into the 1st with a good combine/pro day.

I love this guy...was really hoping he'd fall in the draft a little bit so the Falcons could select him. =/ It really sucks that he's catching so many people's attention.

I wonder if all Devin's on the world are good returners. :)

Following an impressive combine he could very well sneak into the late first round to a team like the 49ers. Robert Meachem only had one great year in college and we all know where he ended up being selected.

I think that's cause someone got too big for his britches in thinking he could do more than what he actually could with offensive weapons instead of fixing their pitiful defense.

I think he'd need an awfully good combine to do so. Any other year, I'd probably say yes but there is a lot of talent ahead of him...

I seem to think the exact opposite... there are a lot of talented WR's this year, but none really stand head and shoulders above the rest. It is not really Top Heavy, so someone like Thomas could emerge as a favorite to someone like the Steelers. I think it's very possible in this draft.

If he runs and jumps well and shows he has good hands in drills he can easily become one of the top three WRs.

The unique thing about him is his game is much different then all of the other top WRs and his stock could soar because of it.

He's not in that first round range yet, but I believe a team could fall in love with him and draft him there. I have him rated higher than most, predicting him to move into the late 1st round mix, up from his current mid 2nd round place. I currently have the Bucs reaching for Thomas at 20th overall. Tampa Bay, Tennessee, Dallas, San Francisco, and even Jacksonville are some teams in the late first round that could look at Thomas.

I'm a big fan of his. He reminds me of Reggie Wayne, when he was coming out.

If you guys remember, that WR class was deep also, and there were quiet a few that were picked ahead of Wayne, but he has outproduced most of them.

This may be a similar situation. I see a few WRs being picked ahead of him, but he may outproduce most of them.

I think he might be the best receiver in the draft, he blew me away this season. Joe Staley was the guy I liked way better than everyone last year, and it looks like I'm going to Michigan to find that person again this year.

Once I found out you didn't look like John Goodman, like I always imagined, it hasn't been the same.

Another 1 year wonder like Robert Meachem, those guys are always somewhat of a risk, but I like him as well, so I think he will be going somewhere early in the 2nd, teams are starting to take notice as well

yes he can definitely go in the first round, hell, he could go in the top 15.

His draft stock relies more heavily on his workouts than maybe any other WR in this draft. He's much faster than the 4.5 he's listed as and he's dynamite in the Kick Return and Punt Return game. He's also Jacked so he should be a stud in his individual workouts.

If he run's in the low 4.4's/high 4.3's and work's out like he should, and some other WR's (Hardy/Manningham/Sweed) underachieve slightly, there is no reason some team can't be higher on him then any other WR's.

I don't think he can be a first rounder, but he will battle Sweed, Hardy, Avery, Doucet and Jordyzzz to be the #3 WR.

if you are including Manningham in the top two then i would argue that point.

and DT "Showtime" is much better then jordy and avery. He's more physically gifted than doucet, and although both had great games he out-performed hardy in their head-to-head this season. Sweed can't stay healthy or contribute on Special teams.

he could be the best WR in the draft, but beating out kelly and jackson will be tough, although he is very similar to Jackson, just bigger.
