Marcus Trufant and Roderick Hood should probably be on that list too.
Drayton Florence has been pretty good this year too.

I would take Rashean Mathis, Terrance Newman, Asante Suamel, Nnamdi Asomugha, Charles Tillman, Marcus Trufant over Mike Jenkins anyday.
I don't think there will be that much competition with the two classes.

Wow, I mean I've heard of screwing up draft picks before, but we basically chose the only CB realistically projected early that didn't pan out at all. Go Floyd Reese, write a column about that pick why dontcha'.

The depth might match up, if not be better, but in Newman and Trufant that year, there was top level talent, guys a notch or two above Jenkins and McKelvin.

drayton florence should not be on that list. He is a waste of life and the weakest link of the team.

Rashean Mathis > Mike Jenkins
Terrance Newman > Aqib Talib
Asante Samuel > Antoine Cason
Nnamdi Asomugha > D. Rodgers-Cromartie
Charles Tillman, Ricky Manning, Terrence McGee, Leigh Bodden, Eugene Wilson, Blue Adams, Roderick Hood, Marcus Trufant and Drayton Florence > Godfrey, Porter, McKelvin, Bowman, etc

This class is deep....but there is no one who is at the top who is outstanding like Trufant or Newman. Jenins is the only guy who should go top 15 (though Mckelvin might b/c of weakness of the position at the top).

Your basing that off of what these guys have done during there careers.Rather then comparing them as prospects.

Very true. Trufant and Newman were very good prospects, Newman was near elite. ater the all start games and combine I could see McKelvin and Jenkins in the very good prospect area. Cason I would argue is right up there with Jenkins and McKelvin, but I''m very high on Cason.
Middle Depth as prospects you have Godfrey, Thomas, Aqib, Porter, Cromartie Rodgers, Lowery, tribble, Ike, King etc. There is no telling how many Pro Bowlers from the 2nd-5th round will come out this class. In 2-4 years it maybe easier to compare the two.

As far as prospects, i dont know how they would compare, but for what they became, i dont think this years class will be anywhere as good. Reshean Mathis, Asante Samuel, Nnamdi Asomugha, Marcus Trufant and Terence Newman are absolute studs at corner. Tillman, Bodden and Eugene Wilson turned out pretty solid as well. I wouldnt brag too much of drayton florence, but that's 5 guys with all pro potential. We'd be lucky to get one out of this years class, but then again if we knew that before, Asante Samuel wouldnt have been a 4th round pick
