Hey, I'll tell you what. You can get a good look at a butcher's ass by sticking your head up there. But, wouldn't you rather to take his word for it?

As for what it looks like on the inside, I'm not about to pull a Han Solo and find out. You do that on your own time.

It's standard for that breed of dog, and was given an anaesthetic during the process. And I'm sure he doesn't mind now.

I know and It wasnt necessarily directed towards you really, I just dont see the point in it, im sure dogs like their tails. I mean what kind of person would come up with that? Whats the point?

Well... The german shorthaired pointer, bread as a gun/hunting dog, traditionally had its tail cropped to prevent foxtails (sharp plant things) and burrs (prickly seed things) from gathering on a longer tail which would be painful for the dog during long hunts. Obviously most people don't use their dogs to hunt today, but I guess tradition's tradition.

EDIT- and any GSP with a longer tail would be immediately disqualified in a dog show...

What, you don't make the annual trip to the Westminster Kennell Club Dog Show in hopes of bringing home a best in show to the dog everyone counted out, the dog they said was too weak? We'll guess what, I'm still standing, I'm still strong.
