Sounds like your hate would be more fittingly directed at your financial situation than at the NFL network. If you had a premium service to offer the public, would you hand it out free of charge?

The NFL is slowly moving to where you have to pay to watch NFL games.

yeah at a costly $5 dollars a month that includes other sports stations...
I think I could find $5 dollars of change in my car, wallet, inside the couch, or out in the sidewalk, monthly to pay for it.
I have the network but wish it was better. I'm not saying it's bad, but it could and should be better.

No, they actually provide new NFL games during the regular season. Those games weren't on Fox, CBS, NBC or ESPN. Those channels still have the games they always had. You'd be able to get them on Sunday ticket, but then they wouldn't be scheduled on Thursday nights and whatnot. And Sunday ticket is much more expensive than NFL network.

It's nice to have, get some extra games or rewatch some games. You can watch the combine and senior bowl, some senior bowl practices... The announcers are better then ESPN when they talk about things. Sometimes they have cheerleader competitions or making the squad with the cheerleaders...
Other than the Senior Bowl and the occasional NFL Access the only thing on today is Super Bowl highlights...I mean a SB highlights marathon with some breaks for Access and the Senior Bowl.

i love NFL Network. Where else can i watch the Path to the Draft, Senior Bowl practices, NFL Combine, other games i didn't get to watch for the week, Dieon Sanders talk about how he's 'Primetime', and Jim Mora make a fool of himself??
well worth the money...

Depends on what package (http://www.directv.com/DTVAPP/global/contentPage.jsp?assetId=2700001&CMP=KNC-PG-Google&HBX_PK=directv&HBX_OU=50) you get. And you don't necessarily have to have directv. My brother has dish network and gets it, and I'm pretty sure you can get it through certain cable companies as well.

actually Verizon carries NFL Network. hook up the Fios and the cable and you are good to go. 40 Mbps and many a channels. granted it is 500 bucks a month. but i split that with four other roomates. haha
and yea it could be better, they should have never given Jamie Dukes a show. but all in all, i like it.

I'm just happy they have live football now...other than the combine it really was a really crappy channel back in the day. It was basically the NFL films Network.

500/month? Wtf?!?!? My parents have FiOS and Cable at home and it runs them about 120-150/month. You're getting jacked.

the NFL network and Comcast, Time Warner, Cablevision, and a few other providers are in a law suit right now. If you should hate anything, its whoever your cable provider is. The NFL wants NFLnetwork to be included in the regular basic cable package < sort of like ESPN is > While they want to charge for a premium package to make more money. Will be interesting to see how the trial ends.
If you go here, http://iwantnflnetwork.com/ you can learn more about the situation.
haha, i love all this controversy, as my cable company added nfl network without upping the rates almost 2 years ago

well actually its just 320 a month but it is like premium everything. we have 40 Mpbs speed on the internet. thats 190 by itself. and yes it is pure 40 Mpbs, i've downloaded at 6800 kb/s and average at like 5200-5300. and just about every channel. but splitting it up is worth it. and we all pay directly to Verizon so no one gets all the money.

^^^ you guys got it.
I cant take it down here, with no Senior Bowl coverage. After watcing the Senior Bowl and the combine extensively on the NFL network, I have a big loss now. It kinda sucks. But thats why I rely on this site.
I used to have the NFL Network included in the Digital Cable.. but then last year sometime, the idiots at Comcast decided that they wanted everybody to pay $2 more per month to get NFLN and some other channels that I don't even watch..

Only $2? Comcast charges my area $5 per month to get the Network with some NBA channel, speed channel, etc.

I got a thing in the mail saying they would add NFLN to what I all ready had and then at the last second they backed out when all this crap went down and now they want us to pay for like 100 other channels just to get NFLN CRAP!

If your lucky enough to live where they have verizon you get it with the digital cable package like comcast USED to have, so your set...and its the best channel ever, every channel could get better of course, but im fine with it...
you really get caught up with the draft and get familiar with the players going into it, I watch all the shows prior to the draft and before nfl network I knew about the early guys but my knowledge of later round picks wasnt the same...
and besides before nfl network were they even showing teh senior bowl on tv? All you have to do is think about not having the nfl network at all, and you will be happy how it is, it be alot worse if they didnt have the channel at all

For those of you w/ verizon...did u guys get a free HDTV when you signed up for it?
I know that's one of the deals they have now. I'm moving in a couple of weeks and am thinking about changing over to Verizon. I wouldnt mind getting another HDTV, either.

It was actually Verizon that messed up. And the movie package is worth move then the TV I believe. I think what happened was the fact that we had FiOS and then got cable. They forgot to put it together or something on the bill so we get free movie channels now.

Yeah... I'm at school now there buddy. Don't you remember when I pointed out 13-9? Thanks. No living in the basement for me. I mean graduate and get my own apartment.
Don't mess with the master. I am rather fond of your mother/aunt and I'd like to keep seeing her. I love the fact she has only a few teeth. Don't ruin it for her.
