1. Phoenix Suns
-Nash, Duncan and Carmelo are three of the best players at their respective positions and they also have Bynum who has big time potential. AI and Pierce can score from anywhere on the floor too. Michael Redd is lethal from three and Aldridge is a nice young talent.

2. Toronto Raptors
-Very good mix of youth and veterans in key spots. Doesn't have big time scorers like the Phoenix, but the youth on this team is more optimistic than with the Suns.

3. Boston Celtics
-Boston is very talented, but the thing that concerns me the most is Vince Carter at SG. Over the next 3 years I think his game is going to decline big time and that concerns me. The rest of the team is great, but there's that one glaring weakness.

4. Charlotte Bobcats
-Wade and Jefferson are two of the young stars in the league and combined with Baron Davis and underrated Caron Butler this team is solid. Oh yeah, they also have KG. The thing that makes them rated lower is they aren't as talented top to bottom.

5. Dallas Mavericks
- LeBron and Dirk are great, but Allen is aging and Billups is not quite as good as the point guards on the teams rated ahead of Dallas. Wallace doesn't have the talent to start anymore and there is no depth.

6. Detroit Pistons
- Kobe may be the best player in the game teamed up with Boozer and the new Phily AI, but after that it's questionable. Calderon is a nice backup in present day but he is nowhere nearly as talented as the other PGs and O'Neal is hurt and lacks the work ethic. Depth is better than Dallas, but the starting talent isn't quite up to par.
Explanations to come!

it was close between the suns and the celts for me but i went with the suns. in a draft with not that many teams no way should vince carter be a starter. you couldnt get a rashard lewis or a joe johnson before you took vince? plus your depth is kinda meh. suns are the best

Could you possibly do a full rankings, if not then i wont take these into account. Also why do u think the suns and celts are better than the raps

if i put my line up as

Chris Pual
Josh Howard - Rip Hamilton - Vince Carter
Shawn Marion - Josh Howard - Vince Carter
Amare Stoudemire - Shawn Marion - Emeka Okafor
Yao Ming - Amare Stoudemire - Emeka Okafor

would that be better?

Could you possibly do a full rankings, if not then i wont take these into account. Also why do u think the suns and celts are better than the raps

yeah sure. also the only tiffs i have about your team are that whos going to take the game winning shot? brandon roy? i know he might be very capable but i wouldnt trust a sophmore when you need a big time shot. also you dont have a 3 point specialist, rashard lewis is your best option, which isnt saying that much. (not that he cant fill it up behind the arc but not a specialist like, redd or allen). but hey neither does the celts, that was more of a point for the suns.

Chris Paul> Jason Kidd- i think chris paul is the third best player in the nba right now.

Roy>Carter- but not by that much. for me im still not sold on brandon roy, others may look at this different, but hey thats why opinions are great

Marion>Smith- basically smith and shawn marion are the same type of player. very athletic gets rebounds, runs up and down the court, high energy guy. thing is marion is just a better player. his stats have been a little down this year but i think thats due to him wanting a trade and not being very happy there.

Amare/Yao-Bosh/Howard- too hard to compare these guys straight up, mainly because they're different types of players. more of a push

i would have to give the raps the win on bench.

so its insanley close, maybe on a different day i would feel that your teams better.

1.Suns- best overall team, think they would flow togehter perfectly, they have a great PG who can spread the ball, a big time scorer (melo), a three point specialist (redd) and two big men who can fill the paint and play defense along with offense. solid bench

2. Celtics- For Reason Alreayd Posted

3. Raptors- ^^^^^

4. Bobcats- Very good players from top to bottom, solid big men down low, good pg, and a superstar in dwayne wade. thing is you have a bunch or scorers on your team. i really dont know how well they would flow together.

5. Mavs- You would think that a team with dirk, lebron and chauncey would be higher, they would be, if basketball was played with 3 basketballs at one time. too many people who want the shot and especially late. lebrons gonna want the ball and of course "mr.big shot" will want his crack at it, same with last years mvp. plus why the **** are you starting ben wallace. hes not even averaging 10 rebounds a game, and along with his 4 pts a game average, i dont see him much of a starter. i wouldnt have even drafted him.

6. Pistons- Sure if kobe can make the lakers better all by himself than sure he can do it with team. but i really dont see that happening if they were to play out these games. im not the biggest fan of boozer/oneal combo down low, similar players, and both of them dont play the best defense. i think calderon is on the rise but he hasnt been a starter until this year and guys like deron williams would be a much better fit.

so there it is

also a couple things i think build a good team:

PG whos a pass first kind of guy, makes everyone around him better
SG/SF- guy who can fill it up, can go for 40 on any given night, also has to be the man in the 4th quarter.
SG/SF-(6th man also) high energy guy, someone who will run up and down the court, get rebounds or a three point specialist. someone who can spread the court and let others penetrate to the hoop and if needed kick outside. (if you start the 3 point guy, then have the athletic guy as the 6th/7th man)
PF/C- someone who plays very good defense, and is a sewer for rebounds.
PF/C- a guy who can go one on one with anybody down in the post, has to have a nice set of skills and moves.

also i would like to see at least 2-3 vets who are unselfish and can be great mentors. (kidd, KG are the first two that come to my mind.)

Here is my breakdown of our teams

PG: Deron and Kidd>>>>Nash and Allen Iverson (Nash's back problems will seriously hinder is play in the future, not to mention AI is getting up there in age
SG:Brandon Roy>>>>Michael Redd(Brandon is a way better all around player and will continue to improve dramatically)
SF: Josh Smith and Rashard Lewis<<<<Carmelo and Paul Pierce(I'll give you that one, but Josh Smith can be a defensive stopper for my team, which is something your team doesnt have)
PF: Chris Bosh and Pau Gasol>>> Tim Duncan ( Bosh and Pau are entering the primes of their career, while duncan is in the twilight, not to mention i would argue bosh is better than duncan this year.
C:Dwight Howard>>>Bynum and Aldridge(Dwight Howard is the best big man in the game, and would demolish those two, not to mention bynums injury concerns.)

So it looks like I win 4>1
