I'm surprised they lasted this long.

I was so close to picking them but they have done their gangster flick, Miller's Crossing, and while it is awesome, it isn't what I want out of my film.

I wonder if anyone will pick Peter Jackson and have the balls to have him direct what he directs best, zombie films. I also wonder if George Romero, the master of zombie films, will get picked. My favorite celebrity right now is Kevin Smith, so I wonder if he will get picked as a director. I also wonder if Richard Kelly (who I was actually in the process of picking before I changed my mind), Francis Frod Coppola (if he wasn't over the hill he was my pick), or Mike Nichols (another guy I almost picked0 will be chosen.

Funny story about Block Party. I saw the world premiere rough cut at the Toronto International Film Festival. The crowd loved it and it ended up being my second favorite film of the festival (after Romance and Cigarettes which still hasn't been released). I got there two hours early and was second in line. It is funny how there everyone was seeing it because Gondry was directing and when it was released in theatres it was all about Chapelle.

The crowd loved it and it ended up being my second favorite film of the festival (after Romance and Cigarettes which still hasn't been released). I got there two hours early and was second in line. It is funny how there everyone was seeing it because Gondry was directing and when it was released in theatres it was all about Chapelle.

It really was such a unique film. I personally love the music in it, so that was an added bonus for me. I just think that Chappelle's star power carried that film in the States. It is on my personal top-10 overlooked films of all-time.

Funny story about Block Party. I saw the world premiere rough cut at the Toronto International Film Festival. My friend and I really liked it. It was really different from every other movie I have even seen and it once again proved that James Gandolfini is an awesome actor. Plus I got to stand next to the Coens for a couple minutes after the movie while they were talking to actors. I just wish I had worked up the courage to talk to them, but I didn't want to be rude.

It was worth the 20 dollars I paid to see the movie. There all always a bunch of celebrities at the fest. I was stocked when I got to talk to Larry Charles for a few minutes before Borat. He was a great guy and I just wish I had brought my Seinfeld DVD's for him to sign.

Damn. All 16 (counting Roy) didnt pick my favorite guy.

By the way, the director I am talking about is Christopher Nolan. I was going to give a hint about the timeline not being straight forward, but he does that in like all his movies.

I thought about Nolan last night long after I had picked. he would have been a very nice pickup. I think Memento is genious.

So, we're only picking 7 actors? That kinda sucks. I'd like to pick more to really round out the cast.

Do we have to assign the actors to parts in the movie once we're done?

Should I? It wasn't specified. If I can't have Kubrick it's not a big deal, it was basically 50/50 between Nolan and him anyway.

I think it should just be living directors.

Also, I'm getting tired of people being on the clock and not sending in a list in case they wouldn't be online. That aggravates the living **** out of me.

Also, I was wondering if we could extend the actor draft to 10 rounds? Fisch, what you say?

its going fast enough so id be in favor of extending it.

Also, please everyone send lists to either me, Commie, JBond or Diab.

Mine doesn't call for an extremely large cast but I feel 10 rounds would be enough to allow me to fully round out my cast. I could go longer.

Oh. I thinking Pollack could pull it off. I would rather have the other Sydney, Lumet that is, or Michael Mann. That's just me though. Pollack is a very talented director and with the right script I'm sure he could pull it off.
