Which one you think is more exciting?NBA players are running out of dunks to perform and the NHL breakaway comp. saturday was amazing even though not many of the shots went in it was intense wondering what they would do...
You gotta be ******* kidding me lol.

NBA and it's not even close, very rarely will players actually do a dunk thats been done before and normally if they do its a throwback to someone, basically no one even knew that the NHL had an all star weekend

I disagree. It could have been great but a bunch of them decided to just try and score. There are still some awesome things for the basketball players to do.

But they really underachieved honestly. Ovechkin was the only one to try something cool. Datsyuk could have done something MUCH better. He disappointed me.
I will admit the difficulty in the NHL breakaway competition is much greater because you not only have to complete the trick but you must beat the goaltender. The NHL has a long way to go before this event gains any credibility. Many players seemed to be lost out there without any idea of what they were gonna do next.

I do not understand how Nash was not a participant. I think once the NHL refines it it will be much better, because the top talent will participate in it

That was the first year they did this, i think next year with more guys having watched that will be practiceing hoping for an invite
I guess the NBA Slam Dunk. But even that has gotten stale over the years. The last one I really enjoyed was 2000 where Vince and Steve Francis killed it.

James White is the best dunker in the world, not that guy. Between the legs dunk from the foul line. If he was still in the NBA, he should have done it.

He got jobbed in the Mcd's All American Dunk Contest. Though David Lee did have nice dunks, James White should of had it.

I don't like either. But then again I don't like the NBA and haven't really watched the NHL.

They should have just had the NHL All-Stars stand at centre ice and juggle. The point of hockey is to score. Ovechkin didn't even score. Not scoring, doing a twirl? That's figure skating.
Dunk Contest wins, hands down.

the last dunk contest was horribly boring.
i didn't really like the one where josh smith won either.

The Dunk contest is just the same thing over again with little tweaks... with a breakaway they completely can mix it up... i think moves in games are better than some of the ones they do in the contest...

I'd like to sign you to a contract right now and take you around the country with your cutting edge humor. I already have 10 shows booked with 25 more in the works. Just next to the X. I can't wait for the success we are going to have.

I don't watch the NBA much anymore and I love hockey, but at this point I would rank the dunk contest over of the breakaway competition. The breakaway competition has the potential to be really exciting but it failed BIG TIME this year. Hardly anyone even had a successfull attempt and the scoring system was so f'd up it wasn't even funny.
