I really liked what I saw from him. I think he is going to be a LT in the pros. He was quick, very strong, and surprisingly used his hands well. I was listening on the radio and Husker legend Will Shields was asked about him. Shields said he is going to be a very good LEFT TACKLE in the pros and that he has really liked what he saw from him. Does anybody else think that he could be an underrated type player? I think people are underestimating Nicks like they did Tony Ugoh last year.

After the impressive senior bowl and week of practices he put up i don't think he will be underrated for very long (if he actually is). He showed tremendous athletic ability, which couple with his monsterous size could let him be a dominant LT. I like the natural feel he seems to have for the tackle position, but he is still very raw and needs work on his technique. I think starting him at RT and developing there for a year or so would be in his best interest, where he would than be able to slide over to LT. I would wait to see his combine results, but he looked quick enough in the running game to possibly be able to pull and play OG. I like him a lot as a OT prospect and see him as a pretty solid high/mid 2nd to high 3rd.

he could compare to charles spencer, when he was healthy for the texans and lost like 30 lbs. both are physical maulers. similar size and junk

Solid RT prospect but not much more.

I think Nicks is a good tackle prospect. But I'm not sure why but I see him being a REALLY good guard on the NFL level.

I came away really impressed. I was very surprised with his athletism especially for a guy his size. He carries his weight very well. I also like the 35 inch arms. I really think he has a big upside and wouldn't be suprised if he ended up being the 3rd OT taken.

He just flat out showed up and impressed me. Late first is certainly possible.

I was extremely impressed by his perfrmance at the Senior Bowl and feel he is the 3rd best LT prospect behind Long and Otah. As a Bears fan I am hoping Otah is there at 14 but now feel that Nicks is just as good and would be happy with either one. I'll bet the house that Nicks does not make it out of the first round.

3rd best - what about Chris Williams? By Scott's accounts and others, he seemed to have an even better senior bowl week and, if you ask me anyway, is a better LT prospect.

He's going to be a LT...he's going to end up in the first round more than likely...I'm just hoping that he holds on til round 2 for Atlanta's selection.

I know Nicks looked good, but 1st round grade? I'm leary of jumping a guy up so high based on one week of practice.

I do think the Bolts will give him a long look at #27, he is the perfect road grader type RT we need, especially if Cherilus is gone.

A beast of an RT prospect. Could also play Lt with some fine tuning. When focused and motivated he is dangerous. But his lack of focus caused him to have an average year.

I think he was pretty good all season but flew under the radar. He was starting to rise up draft boards before Senior Bowl and was thought by many to be a solid 2nd round pick. Then at Senior Bowl his stock shot up when people say how big and athletic he was.

In a word -- lazy.

Very, very poor attitude and work ethic. If he ever got a fire going under his butt, he could be dominant. If he had gave a d*** all year, there would be no debate about his 1st round status.

I really like Nicks but while I feel he is a good enough prospect to crack the first round I'm not sure he will with the depth at OT this year. Long is by far a better prospect. Clady and Otah are higher on many boards right now as well. Cherilus is more polished and Chris Williams has a more rounded game and is more of a sure thing. I don't personally think more than 5 OTs will go in the first round (although crazier things have happened), but i could definitly see Nicks, Baker and Collins fighting for a very early spot in the second. If Nicks jumps any of the guys in my top 5 it would probably be Otah who is just as much of a project as he is, but then again I'm not as high on Otah as most.
