This was the first January in 70 something years that the New York City area didn't get any measurable snow. We haven't had anything this year. Now that I said this, when I'm ready for Spring we will get hit with a big storm in late March or early April.

Oh, 16. A heatwave lol. Well I shouldn't complain because Monday it was about 45 or 50 although by Wednesday morning it was -18 with about -35 windchill here in Eau Claire. Wisconsin weather, talk about inconsistent.

well, there was a windchill of around -25 degrees.
The weather in Buffalo is really inconsistent too. The day before, the storm, it was 53 degrees at 3:00 AM. The next night, it was around 16. Surprisingly, a lot of the weathermen were correct in the temperature changes, and weather changes.

It's so weird the difference in weather between North and Central Jersey. Most times you get snow, we get rain.

We really never have snow days here, not because of the snow because he have had days where we have had quite a few inches and they still didn't give us a snow day.

The only shot we really have is on a really cold day, but they didn't close school on campus last week when we had -30 degree day and with the wind chill around -50.

Same here. At lot of snow in Ann Arbor recently, but a student apparently sued the school for closing because of snow, complaining they weren't refunded for missed classes financially. Now the school can't close, no matter what the weather is.

Snow days were cool until I started college . . . it was realized that there is no longer such a thing as a snow day for me anymore . . .Madison actually canceled classes after 3:30 yesterday. Unfortunately for me, my last class ends at 3:15 on Wednesdays.

Thats an old wive's tale thats told at every school. Fact is, students are not elligible to sue the school in times when the school makes a determination that it is unsafe for the student body to be out in inclimate weather.

Had a snow day yesterday, granted everything is back on for my longest day of classes today. Havent had any snow days (at least dont remember any) before this school year in college and yesterday was the 2nd one this school year.
