Yeah I decided to make an Equipment thread, just because there are people out there who have used certain equipment that we may be looking to by. from football things to everything
I want to buy some new cleats I got a price range of 20-50 dollars, i will go up to 70 most. I don't play for HS anymore but like to play for fun with my friends I need a new pair something cushined and comfortable. The last pair I had where rock hard, and my feet would either blister, or I would have dead skin. Anyway looking for a nice pair of cleats.
Also I was thinking about upgrading gloves I have this one right now

Yes I know they are old, but they lasted me and were pretty expensive 2 years ago when I bought them.
I was thinking of getting new ones, anyone recommond any I heard about these Cutters WR gloves. Anyone got any info on it.

This is probably the best piece of sporting related equipment I own. However the grip is grey not orange.

cutters gloves are probably some of the best gloves on the market. they have the max amount of stick out of any of the gloves out there and they last much longer and are much more durable. i had a pair of reeboks and they didn't even last me a whole season as they were out of stickiness even with washing with water and they were completely ripped up
as for cleats, if you are going for cushiness, do not go with nikes as they basically make crap cleats

Hockey = Most Expensive Sport
Today at a pro shop I found "decent" sticks for 90 (usually around 150) and bought 2. lol

You obviously aren't much of a golfer, as I would argue that if you're any good, play nice courses, own good equipment and take it seriously it is more expensive. And before you argue with me, I'm from Minnesota, home of hockey in the US, friends were all high school hockey players, and they agree with me.

If you get the top of the line hockey equipment it is more expensive than the top of the line hockey equipment no doubt in my mind.

Im sure you meant to put golf equipment instead of hockey equipment somewhere in there. Not sure which one though.

Damn no one has a good pair of cleat to get. I saw Nike speed 3/4 for like 40, reviews said they are comfortable. Anyone have a better pair to get.
I also own a 360, now that is a good peice of equipment, get it NOW.
I am thinking of buying a new laptop a Lenovo, I am majoring in Mechincal Engineering what do you guys think of them. I am giving my dell to my mom, don't get INSPIRON they are horrible.

Well im looking for a good cleat too... Price really isnt a constraint. Is Under Armor's Cleats any good. Any recommendations for a RB. Preferably no metal either

Exactly, golf is so freakin' expensive. It has taken me years of saving to put togethor my current set and the sad thing is there's always better and new improved things out there.

A lot of grip doesn't necessarily make them good. I used to buy Cutters every year and they'd wear out after one game. They actually made catching harder.

These gloves work great.
What are the new cleats on the market. I'll probably buy a pair in a couple months....any pictures?

i wore a pair this last year and i wasn't a huge fan of the under armour's because they are pretty bulky and not very light for a RB/WR

Cricket yes!
I love the sport, I wish I knew how to play. There are these Pakistani or Indian kids who play at my school on the cement in the spring but I have baseball so I can't play. Very exciting sport to watch though. Maybe next time I head down under I'll play some cricket and see Hilltop Hoods live.

bhaarat316

Well, its diffrent when you try them on and when your running around and playing with them on. Unless you know some store that has like an indoor test site, then let me hear it.

Are you serious? I have a pair of cutters and a pair of those gloves (cept they are grey, not blue) and the Cutters are a bajillion times better then those Nike ones...the Cutters are light and they have great stick; plus you just pour some water on em and they stick like new again.
I've had those nike ones for about a year and they blow...
My cutters sucked...it was like trying to catch footballs with carpet wrapped around your hands. meh.

Well, the interesting thing about that is, I feel like if you buy a decent set of clubs, it's not necessary to buy some of the more professional gear. A decent set is more than adequate for the average golfer.
Of course, I'm merely a novice at golf, so I still suck.
However, I do agree. It's pretty damn expensive. Especially the top of the line gear.
As for football gloves, it's really all opinion based. Some like Cutters, some like Nike - personally, I don't really care. It's funny. I actually bought a pair of Cutters, but I only wear one when I play. I don't know why, it just feels comfortable when I catch that way.

Just go to Dick's at the Galleria Mall. I got a pair of Under Armour Cold Gear gloves there (rly good btw) and I'm sure they have well padded lineman gloves, but they only come in grey and black I think.
You do live in Buffalo right?

Oh yeah, I know, I played very well for a long time with irons that only cost me $25 but for me playing varsity was the thing that made me get the better clubs. As my game improved I needed more consistent clubs and thats what I got in the top of the line brands. I couldn't go fully out though because I didn't have the resources but they still were expensive and name brand, just used or discounted.
