The original was so awful I wanted to beat myself to death with a SNES cartridge. I don't see how this could be any better. Though the anime Street Fighter movie wasn't nearly as bad.

I think the main problem is trying to come up with a storyline that doesn't completely make you hate the game series...I mean, at least with say Mortal Kombat, the storyline made sense for how the game was...plus the last Street Fighter A. was like idiotically funny and I could not tell if it was trying to be or not and B. cast Jean Claude, while he would be a good Guile, as an American and thought any one would honestly believe it

IMO, the anime Street Fighter movie was exactly what a Street Fighter movie should be. Light on plot, heavy on fighting and completely awesome. Not to mention that with the exception of T-Hawk, who Ken made his *****, and DJ who had 30 seconds of screen time beating up some random bikers, pretty much every character was represented well.

If they're going to make another live action street fighter movie, I'm fine with it as long as its a live action adaptation of the anime movie.

Even though I enjoyed Street Fighter, I can't say I can really get myself pumped up to see a movie about Chun-Li.
