Give the Saints Curtis Lofton in the 2nd and it's a decent draft.

i think id prefer flacco to henne and otah to cherilius, but you nailed the positions at least.

not a bad bears draft

The Pats wouldn't stay at 7 to take a corner. Too early.

Good giants draft, but doesnt Crable or even Henderson fit the Giants defense better than Gooden?

Pretty boring Steelers draft...it doesnt excite my nether regions one bit!

ok phins mock. Not a big fan of Connor but I guess it's an OK pick. Would rather have Cason in the 2nd, Rubin in the 3rd and take a guard later.

The Steelers draft might not excite you nether regions like, say, a Calais Campbell or Derrick Harvey would in Round 1 but it addresses needs. Balmer would be a force as a 3-4 DE, Rachal would most likely start from day 1 and Schmitt is a guy that you can line up in the backfield at the same time with WP and use as a ball carrier sometimes, as well as a lead blocker instead of drafting a running back who will get like 3-6 carries a game, if that.

O-Line, specifically OT is our greatest need.

Bleh first pick, really good 2nd and 3rd picks. I'm still not sold on Brohm for us and we don't need a QB as badly as people think. I'd rather take Josh Johnson or wait a year.

Give the Colts either Roy Shuening in the 2nd or a trade up to get Pat Sims. If Sims were to fall that far, they could possibly make a move to trade up a few spots to get him. In the 3rd, give the Colts Matt Forte.

I actually really like Merling to the Raiders in the second as someone who could start helping out our poor run defense from day one.

eh...not a big fan of any pick. i give your overall mock a C though. not bad elsewhere.

Solid bolts pick. Reggie Smith is definitely the ideal pick for us in my opinion.

First round pick is adequate although I would rather see the 2nd spent on Dre Moore or Trevor Laws.

I like the first pick for the Raiders, but with no 3rd I hope they don't spend both picks on the DL. Denver did that in '07 and their line got worse. The Raiders LT gave up 9 1/2 sacks last season. So I am actually starting to be a Jake Long fan, but Ellis is a good pick too. If they go defense in the first it has to be OL in the 2nd. That's my take anyway. But I think I would prefer Jake Long than Dre Moore. Overall good mock though, nice work.

A good Vikings mock, except with one of their thirds I would have Martellus Bennett.

Matthew Jones
02-07-2008, 09:37 AM
Cromartie may be a bit of a reach (would prefer Rivers), but you made up for it with some solid rounds. Crable is an excellent future replacement for Vrabel, and I could see Lofton and Forte getting nice amounts of playing time as replacements for Seau and Morris at some point as well.

first 2 pack picks were good but we're 5 guys deep at DT
Love charles godfrey tho

Packers draft is ok, but i think it could be better
not that i mind Godfrey but i like Lee better becuase i think godfrey stocks drop with a bad combine
Henderson or Gooden over Mays
Johnny Dingle over Fluellen

Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think Merling projects well as an NFL RE. Pat Sims is pretty low. Substitute him for Merling and Oakland's defense turns around in a hurry.
