No... computer works on loogic problems... Humans often aren't logical... You have to have inputs how good are people around you... are they good enought to lie.. are they lieing ... and than through all this you come out with should you raise.. should you check... should you call..

In my opinion, poker isn't a sport, and neither is golf. Something must have 3 things for it to be considered a sport by me.
1. There has to be athletic ability involved and a risk for injury. (Golf, poker out) Also, an animal or machine can't do the majority of the work. (Horse racing, NASCAR, polo out)
2. There has to be an OBJECTIVE winner. (Figure skating, diving, anything that's "scored" by judges out)
3. It has to be a game with rules and scoring. (Track, pretty much all racing out)
You can argue these if you want, but this is just what I consider to be the criteria for sports.

and why is another year old thread being raised from the dead?
Baseball is by far the hardest sport to play. Any of you want to step up to the plate with a Randy Johnson or Roger Clemens in their prime? I would almost guarantee it is much easier to score a basket, score a goal, or score a TD than it would to be to hit a 95-100 mph fastball or gun a runner down at the plate on a sac fly.

You could eventually hit the fastball, but if you did it would be foul or just a little tapper back to the pitcher for an out. So you still lose. Also, a pitcher never only throws fastballs, all pitchers have at least 3 pitches that they throw. Swimming is a sport, but not a real sport, IMO.

Really doen't prove much. They all would require an immense amount of luck. Anything can happen in any of these sports. A pitcher could hang a slider over the plate but Dwayne Wade could just as easily mis-step and leave you open for a jumer, the CB could trip up and allow you to run right by him, the swimmer could make a mistake and you could win. All you are saying is that these sports are hard to do against the best people. All sports will be hard against the best. It doesn't really prove one is harder than the other.
Poker is as much of a sport as math.

Basketball. Baseball takes too amazing hand eye coordination.
Poker takes a lot mentally and the ability to read otheres.
LaCrosse is very physical sporty that also takes good hand eye coordination
and soccer and swimming are two of themost physically demanding, unless you are obcenely skilled at soccer, like Beckham was, you need to be a great athlete.

Yes but mentally it beats all of those... no match up..
i disagree. mentally being a goalie in hockey, lacrosse, or soccer is harder than poker. being a QB is mentally harder. being a tennis player (singles or doubles) or even being a team captain is mentally harder. I've been all these things (cept soccer) and really the mental game is just as important in these sports as the physical... poker is hard mentally but no where near other stuff

Dislocating them most be so painful words can't describe it.i dont remember exactly what happened, i was playing DT, and on the last play of the half (and the game because they forefitted) i was getting close to the halfback but he gets by me and i was still being blocked, my foot must have been planted and my leg was turned funny i guess. i fell on the ground screaming in pain, god it was horrible, the trainer didnt come until about 5-6 minutes later (it felt like an eternity.) i also have been trained how to relax and control my breathing so i know how not to black out (it probably was enough to have some people black out i guess), when it was slid back into place, it was one of the greatest feelings of relief ever. that was my left one.
my right one, i was 15 minutes into the first day of conditioning, and we were doing drills where lay down with our heads together then we get up as fast as possible and chase the other guy and try to tag him, i got up funny and it just popped out. that one wasnt as painful, but still really hurt.

Anyone who thinks swimming is easy or isn't a sport must live somewhere cold where they dont swim competively. 5 hours in a pool and 1 hour in a gym, 5 days a week.
In Australia, its one of our national sports and the swimmers are the most athletic people at school (with the rugby players) and stars of the australian swimming team are close to the biggest stars of the country.
It seems like swimming isn't as a big of a deal in the USA. Their swimming stars get bigger receptions over here in Aus, then they do at home.

Of those, I'd pick poker, just for the luck element. You can have absolutely no skill, but you're going to do something with pocket aces.
Baseball is probably the hardest. Any sport where, at the highest level, one is considered a star if they only fail 1 out of 3 times has to be pretty difficult.

Swimming is an INCREDIBLY hard sport. HS swimmers are the hardest working athletes in the whole school. There is NO offseason for them, and they practice an insane amount. Try swimming for 2 hours at 5 am and then 2 hours again at 3 pm.
Swimming is the most physically demanding sport, period.

Of the real sports, I will admit that baseball is the least physically taxing sport. Swim practices can get nasty and soccer players do a ton of running. Baseball though is pretty easy for someone who is in shape. Easy from a physical standpoint, but to actually perform the task of hitting a 95 MPH fastball or a 12-6 curve is not easy at all.
I mean, come on, the only time I've ever gotten a good physical workout during baseball was when I hit a triple or legging out an inside the park homer.

What sport is the easiest of the list above... this is including all secitions of the sport
