Trades

Nnamdi Asomugha to Dallas Cowboys 1st Round Picks (22,28)

Wow. The Raiders got pretty good value out of Asomugha.

I'm not against the Bucs taking Brohm, but I'd prefer Campbell or Jackson.

These trades are ********. Forget about the value, which is terrible, but the Eagles trade their first rounder to get the offensive weapon they so desperately need, only to trade away their QB for a 2nd round pick?

oldLibid21
02-11-2008, 09:34 AM
I'm not sure it would be smart to trade away one of the best cornerbacks in the league and then pass up on one of the best cornerbacks in the draft. If we were to do anything like that, I would wager we either draft Phillips and move Jimmy Williams back to cornerback, or we draft DCR. There are plenty of good running backs in the later rounds, and although I think Jonathan Stewart is the second best running back in this draft class, I don't think he's worth a top 10 pick at all.

Not a fan of the Chargers pick because DE is not a need. Reggie Smith would be much better.

02-11-2008, 10:57 AM
personally i dont really like Talib but for the giants 1st its alright, Doucet is more of a late 2nd early 3rd, so Id just go ahead and redo your entire 2nd round now. And im pretty sure that

DeAngelo Hall to New Orleans Saints 1st Round Pick (10)

Chad Johnson to Minnesota Vikings 1st Round Pick (17) Probably not

Nnamdi Asomugha to Dallas Cowboys 1st Round Picks (22,28)

Jeremy Shockey to Miami Dolphins 2nd Round Pick (33)Probably not

Donovan McNabb to Baltimore Ravens 2nd Round Pick (39)Maybe not worth it

Those are the only ones i could see happening an probably only one or two happening this year

all right im not even going to look at the mock, why would we trade Fitz for a middle 1st? he was a top 5 pick and has only gotten better, anything less than two 1st, one being a top 15 pick and we are getting screwed

So Atlanta gives a top 3 talent to a division opponent? No thanks...I do love the pick there though...I hate the 2nd round selection though...Woodson has bust etched in stone on him already.

I don't really like Clady a ton for New England. Doesn't seem like the kind of pick they'd make. Granted, Belichick seems like a fan of early offensive linemen, but he's also made himself into a sort of OL guru along with Dante Scarnecchia and we don't need to upgrade the OL nearly as much as CB, ILB, or WR (if we lose Moss.)

I hate the idea of losing Nnamdi, i love the idea of 4 picks in the top 35. I don't believe the Raiders need two DTs, at least not while ignoring the OL. Also there is no way in gods green earth after trading Nnamdi Al would not pick a CB with one of those 4 picks, and he would be right because Washington and Routt aren't the best options. I would pick...

3 RB Dmac
22 OT Chris Williams (you don't have him off the board yet)
28 CB Aqib Talib
35 DT Dre Moore

Jeremy Shockey to Miami Dolphins 2nd Round Pick (33)

they would be lucky to get a 3rd for him

I wouldn't mind that Miami trade... Sedrick Ellis is a decent pick as well.

Good 1st.
I'd rather go with Philip Wheeler in round 2

I would prefer Larry Fitz over CJ and I think we realistically havemore of a shot at trading for Fitz but I will take Chad.

These trades seem a little overkill to me. I do like what you've done with the picks we have, although with our lack of DE talent and merling there he might be a better pick. But CB makes sense.

I love the Eagles trade! If Andy Reid could only except the fact that we won't have a high powered offense again until we have a great WR.

terrible dallas trade! we would Never do that. not even 1 for him. we don't have enough cap, since we have to pay newman next year as well. and if we wanted a corner, we could get 1 in trufant or samuel for no compensation. definately some of the worst trades iv'e seen in a while.

Well I'd be willing to bet you're better in coverage than Jason David, so you never know...

8 veteran trades in the first two rounds? When has that EVER happened? Hell, when has there ever been more than 2?

Values are way off on some of these as well.

not bad Bills draft

Don Killuminati
02-14-2008, 08:33 AM
Oakland trading Scrabble is about as likely as me getting a haircut and shaving.

The idea of having 4 early picks is fun for mock purposes, though.

If it were me, and I had those picks, I'd have to go with Dorsey at 1:3. We can get a RB for this scheme anywhere. DLs of Dorsey's caliber are another matter entirely.

1:22 - Pat Sims: Good pick. No doubt.

1:28 - DeSean Jackson: At this point in the draft, I'd have a hard time complaining. That said, Reggie Smith would be hard to pass up there with our newly created hole in the defensive backfield. He and Huff could alternate in camp between FS and CB. Whoever looks the best at corner sticks there with the other moving inside to centerfield. or, if Talib runs well at the combine, he might be an even better choice.

At 38, with Dorsey and Sims already taken, this would be a great spot to grab some DE, OL, or WR help. Chris Ellis, Branden Albert, Chris Williams, Gosder Cherilus, Sam Baker, Devin Thomas, Chris Johnson... I don't believe the Raiders need two DTs

How anyone can watch the Raiders defense and come away with that conclusion is nothing short of baffling.

Give Vikies Fitzgerald! He is so much better than Chad!
