I'll explain all the trades first, and sorry if I pick a player that can't play a certain scheme, I don't know what every team runs. I went by what I've seen in previous mock and real drafts and by the team needs section. This is also my first mock of the year and third ever, so don't tear me up too bad.

i wish the people would stop giving the giants dan connor. he is a good player but the giants dont have a huge need for LBers, they just arent as important in our scheme.

umm that mean you think Fred Smoot is more valuable then the cowboys 1st round pick?

We have enough small, fast WRs.
We need a big, physical, red-zone target type guy, and Malcolm Kelly is perfect.
Give us Mike Jenkins/Malcolm Kelly there.

Not a bad Pats mock.

Merling can't play standing up and isn't half the pass rusher that Harvey is, if you are going to give us a DE Harvey is a much better fit for what we need

Why would Green Bay select a DT?

15. Detroit Lions - Reggie Smith, S (80)

2006 - Daniel Bullocks taken in Rd. 2
2007 - Gerald Alexander taken in Rd. 2
+ Kenoy Kennedy and Idrees Bashir

The Lions don't need a safety. Not even a little bit.

I like the trade.

I just hope that means Springs stays on board and Carlos isn't hurt for too long.

I don't see the Raiders passing on both Chris Long and Dmac, not that Ellis is a bad pick, I just don't see it happening that way, I could be wrong.

Good 9ers pick I really like Manningham and want him but is that to high of a pick for him? If they cant get Desean Jackson that would be the only other reciver I would take in round 1 if he is worth that

not a great miami pick..... doesnt fit our defensive scheme at all... give us Vernon Gholston, Chris Long, or at least Sedrick Ellis there instead.

im not sure teh texans would be all that eager to trade up since it would leave them with only that pick in the first 3 rounds....

but id love it from the bears perspective.

Gosder Cherilus would be a much better pick for the Chargers. Talib isn't a fit for the type of DB we need since he is a cover-2 CB. Paul Oliver is in the same mold as Talib and he is moving to safety because of the amount of man coverage the team runs.
