Good pick for the Raiders in the first round, but I disagree with jones in the second. I would prefer Carl Nicks, Sam Baker, Mario Manningham, or Devin Thomas

If the Pats are gonna trade down there I think they would want more than just a 1st and a 3rd, probably a 2nd. I like Keith Rivers' abilities a lot but he is not a 3-4 ILB for us in my opinion. If we go LB in the 1st round its most likely going to be a guy who has played DE in college, like Chris Long or Vernon Gholston. Charles Godfrey is a pretty good pick in the second, we need a physical corner. You got assessed our two major needs, good job.

I doubt the Pats would get more than a third for only sliding three slots. I like Keith Rivers at 10 and picking up a third...

Id like to change it but I know it will screw up most of my 2nd round, Once Jones runs his 40 i think youll have less of a problem with it, he didnt get alot of carries but he made the best of them, and temporarily I think thats what he would do with the Raiders because Rhodes and Jordan (even though i think they should either trade or release Jordan) being physical runners, he would be a nice finesse changeup as well as being a top notch returner.

I knew Already that he didnt fit your defense, but with a 6-3 frame and only weighing 220 he can surely put on alot more weight. He is an amazing talent and even a good value at that pick. I know he plays OLB but i thought that they moved Adalius Thomas inside (not permanently) and Colvin got injured. I was originally going to have Pats trade down more but i felt that Rivers was really the only LB worthy of a 1st.

Yea thats what i was thinking but, it is the first round and even 3 spots mean alot but i doubt enough for an early 2nd.

Thats a horrible cowboys mock, for one if we give up both our first, and carpenter, AND the 93rd, we surely arent so far behind in value that we need to also give a 1st nxt year, thats WAY too much value for a player we dont "need", I know there are rumors out there, and I know Jerry might be in love with mcfadden, but if he comes at the price of three 1st rd picks, the 93rd, and bobby carpenter he wont do it...

And you realize that in that draft, we didnt address db at all yet which is our biggest position of need, and we dont have a future LT in place for flozell since he's only here one more year, and we lost our 1st nxt year to address it...terrible trade on our end, would never happen, Miami got way too much value.

I know everyone wants to involve trades but they have to make sense on both sides, nothing about that trade makes sense for Dallas to make it...Also I dont understand why Denver moves from 8 to 12 to take Phillips when he is going to be there for sure at 12 anyway

New England and Atlanta both need safeties with New England having two depart on FA and Rodney Harrison being old. Atlanta needs a safety, milloy is 33 and their safeties arent playing well. So Denver moves up to assure they get Phillips.

NO way we give up a 3rd to move up 3 spots to pick Mike Jenkins. We would just stay pat and take Keith Rivers. Jenkins is barely worth the 10th pick, much less the 7th and a 3rd.

The Ravens trade from the 8th pick to the 12th pick with Matt Ryan on the board and only pick up a future 3rd rounder, I don't think so.

1.) Malcolm Kelly - Good pick
2.) Fred Davis - If we go with a WR in round 1, I hope we use the 2nd rounder on defense. I'd much rather stay at 42 and pick Philip Wheeler.

Great Cardinals mock

Although the trade isn't great value, should make it a a future 2nd or this year's 3rd

use a draft value chart when trading picks

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/draft06/news/story?id=2410670

and future picks you should subtract about 100 points i think it is

You just let go of 9 players most of them being OTs or DTs, Pat Sims is a Dominant DT who could play in a 3-4 defense like the Dolphins, Otah has huge upside to him, Decoud replaces Jason Allen and is very good in run support and has alot of room to improve, the only pick that i question is Adarius Bowman, i was going to give you Earl Bennett but i felt that Bowman can has alot more physical tools and can improve with his hands.

Most of those picks are projects and since Dolphins are in rebuild mode, they can take project players as oppose to quick fixes. You got your playmaker in Ted Ginn last year, I think Parcells will try to build solid lines then focus on skill positions.

Why would the Saints move up to get Mike Jenkins? This year's draft is very deep with talent at the CB position and it is neck and neck race to see who will be chosen first. The only players I can legitimately see the Saints moving up a few spots for are Sedrick Ellis and Glenn Dorsey

Mike Jenkins is a true shutdown corner, corners are valued high in the NFL, New England is losing Asante Samuel is a FA. So N.O. trades up to get New England's pick so they dont take him. Can play safety, can return, and is a playmaker.

I don't totally disagree with what you said, but here is my take and my reasoning:

I would hardly say Sims is a "DOMINANT" DT. Where did you get that from? Most of the stuff I have seen and read about him are that he can be a very disruptive force when giving max effort, but is lazy and takes a lot of plays off. That is the exact type of player that Parcells seems to steer clear of with his selections. The Otah pick is ok. I'm not a big fan of DeCoud, I would much rather take someone like Cason to strengthen the CB position and get someone like Josh Barrett or Marcus Griffin a little later on. Or... instead of taking Sims, I would take Reggie Smith, who could play either CB or safety. Then get Quentin Groves instead of DeCoud at the top of round 2 to help out the pass rush, and Ahtyba Rubin at NT instead of Bowman to help out the run defense. Those picks would upgrade the defense in a big way and we could then look to the 3rd and fourth rounds to upgrade the TE and WR positions.

It would still be dumb to move up like that for a guy that isn't worth a top 10 pick. Especially when you can get a guy like Cason or Talib in the 2nd. I wouldn't call Jenkins a true shutdown corner, its not like he played against top flight competition in college.

Jason Allen is far far away from addressing any db needs we have...we need a corner, why would we want a safety who has been struggling since he's in Miami..just not realistic, there are far too many players/future picks involved...

If that trade happens, its only going to be for bot first, a player on the cowboys like Carpenter, anda future mid rd pick...There wont be an extra 1st given up, no way we give up 3 first rd picks for rb, 2 is understandable, but three is ridiculous.
